Great taste and a perfect macaroni for any dinner, just wish the amazon driver didn't leave the box at the end of my driveway in the cold and snow.

We think Cracker Barrel mac and cheese is the best. We've tried the different flavors they're all good IMO.

12 pack of 12 ounce boxes of Cracker Barrel mac & cheese. It's worth pointing out that I ordered this product in March 2021 and the case I received listed a shelf expiry date of 3/6/21. That said it's not a big deal to me because this type of product is shelf stable so going a few months over the date isn't an issue but it's worth noting to check your box to determine which batch you received.That said it's a great mac & cheese dinner and if you've home cooked other out of the box versions it's the same deal. This one gets high marks for overall taste and creaminess of the finished product. I also appreciate that all the sauce and seasoning needed is pre packed with no need to add your own doses of milk and butter the way Kraft asks you to do. The pasta maintains good texture after boiling and the parmesan, white cheddar blend is full of flavor.

Because the cheese for this Cracker Barrel macaroni and cheese is a sauce, not a dried powder, the shelf life is shorter. My 12-pack arrived with a "use-by" ( NOT a "best by") date only four days away. While I'm pretty sure I was sent old stock and that this otherwise shelf-staple macaroni and cheese would last months in the pantry, you should check yours on arrival. That said, if the cheese sauce makes this trickier to buy online without being able to see the expiration date, it also makes this mac 'n' cheese taste soooo much better than the orange neon stuff that uses powder. This cooks up thick, creamy, and cheesy. I love that, once the elbow macaroni is coated with the sauce, I can sprinkle the included parmesan on top to make it look more adult -- and to add a boost of flavor. It takes the same amount of time to cook this as it does its powdered rival. Even better, you don't have to have milk on hand since the meal kit contains everything but the boiling water.The big disappointment is, of course, the expiration date. Amazon has such a good return policy that it would be easy enough to send back or get a replacement. The use-by date is stamped on the outside of the larger box holding all twelve boxes; you shouldn't even have to open it to see whether yours is still good. Or will be still good. This is the most cheese that I have ever had in macaroni and cheese, as a matter of fact when I pulled out the cheese pouch I thought to myself 'they don't have enough pasta' and that opinion never changed and this was before I even used the Parmesan cheese. I could see where there are people who think this has to much cheese. If you like to taste your pasta in macaroni and cheese, forget it, you will only taste the cheese sauce. Very good and very hard to stop eating. We had it with hot dogs, it was great.

My daughter really enjoyed it and said it was better than the cheaper small boxes you can buy. She also liked that it had the parmesan cheese in it as well. She said it was very creamy and had a lot of cheese. But be careful buying this and make sure you check the expiration dates! I had gotten this in March of 2021 and the expiration date was also March of 2021. Make sure you check the dates on the packages!
