Replacement Maglite Switch
Very little to say about this item. It was purchased in order to replace a broken Maglite switch. Installation was very straightforward with no problems at all. Now I have one working Maglite and I am very happy!

misleading !!!
I'm giving thisa 2 out of 5 simply because the photo is Misleading,it clearly shows the the correct Allen keys and a rubber replacement button all of which I needed! (You only get the switch mechanism !!!)Other than that it's fair to say the delivery was super prompt and the switch works a treat and a snip at the price!

Arrived quickly, with both tools and clear instructions. Changed over in five minutes. Bought life back into my old maglite.

Buyer Beware. With the new Maglite D Cell batteries, you will need a T8 Torx key to remove the old switch assembly and replace it with the new one. As pictured in the product image, the switch assembly is supposed to come with a 5/64 hex key and a T8 Torx key. It did not (at least from the seller that I purchased it from). So unless you have a T8 torx key (that is really skinny - enough to be able to fit in the little hole in the switch assembly), you won't be able to get the old switch assembly out and the new one in. There are threads online regarding this issue as Maglite changed the hex key-compatible assembly to a torx-compatible assembly a few years ago which has complicated everyone's life. Do your due diligence! Good luck!

Doesn't include required tool
Didn't include the required wrench and I couldn't find one thin enough anywhere else. Returned it without any issues.

For incandescent mags
This is only for incandescent mags. I have a LED PRO mag lite and it doesn’t fit because the housing is too long (The “tower” that the metal bulb holder slides into is too long) and it has an incandescent bulb holder. However, I knew this before buying it. I was able to take the switch guts out of the new housing and install them in my original housing. Works perfect and fixed my problem!
