Great Camera for Price
I mainly use the camera to document birds and other wildlife on a daily basis when walking my dog on the local river bank. The long zoom is a real boon giving a reach of 720 mm equivalent, which can be doubled using the i zoom feature, with a minimum loss of quality. It handles colours and exposure well, is fairly small and light (I can put it in a jacket pocket). You can shoot at raw and JPEG and the video is acceptable. It has a decent battery life and you can get third party batteries at a reasonable price (i bought two batteries and external charger from Amazon for about £20.The minuses are that at higher sensitivity (ISO) the image quality degrades pretty quickly if you use an ISO over 400. The auto focus tracking can be a bit wayward, especially when trying to take pictures of a bird in flight. Its not at its best in low light. You can get good pictures from this camera. The quality is not as quite as good as my Sony A6000 with 70- 300 lens but that combination will set you back nearly five times the price of the Panasonic. On the other hand that combination is bulky /weighty and still doesn't have the reach I would not be carrying on a walk every day.In conclusion its a bit of a compromise, you trade some image quality for portability and a long zoom. But it punches well above its weight. I still find it hard to believe that its less than £400. As long as you are realistic about its limitations and are not expecting it to perform like a camera and lens combo that cost at least four times the price I would heartily recommend.

Great Zoom, Great Pictures...During the Day
We have just been on safari and wanted a camera that was easy to carry, not too heavy and that had a good zoom. I looked at a lot of cameras and after much deliberation decided to go for this Panasonic Lumix Travel Zoom (TZ) model...I've owned Panasonic cameras before and am a big fan of the brand. The Camera is 23MP and has a 30x Optical Zoom, it's lightweight and will fit in the pocket. Picture quality in daylight is excellent, the camera has so many settings I've not explored half of them, has WiFi and Bluetooth, a reversable touch screen and takes some stunning pictures. It's not all good though, at night the pictures are not great and the flash can wash out the pictures, there are probably many settings to adjust this and improve the night pics but I bought the camera for a specific purpose and that was being able to zoom in on animals on safari and this it does fantastically...I've included a pic with no zoom and with about 3/4 zoom for an example. Video is also very good however the record button is a bit fiddly being on top, just in front of the power button...I switched the phone off several times when trying to take video until I got used to it :-)I bought 2 spare batteries but hardly needed them as the supplied battery lasts very well, easily running through 400-500 pictures and video and still having plenty of capacity, I used a 64GB SD Card and this has sufficient capacity to hold 5000+ photos.Because it has WiFi and Bluetooth you can download the well constructed App and easily transfer the photos from the camera to your phone or laptop for easy storage of posting to the cloud.Overall I gave this 5 stars as it meets all my requirements and exceeded my expectations for the size and the price...

Great camera but a couple of minor annoyances
Love the camera, in fact it seems to be more capable than my Nikon DSLR and certainly a lot easier to carry around. I only have a couple of minor complaints:1. The cover for the charging and upload USB port seems very flimsy for a camera this expensive.2. It's very easy to accidentally take photos as the buttons seem very sensitive. It's not a big problem as they are easy to delete, just a bit annoying.3. Very easy to accidentally cover the flash with fingers.Other than that I find I use it in lots of circumstances that I wouldn't bother with a bigger camera. Works well for night scenes but it's easy to forget that it has limitations, so keep a steady hand. Multi exposure is great for sports photography and the zoom in conjunction with image stablisation is fantastic. I thought I would need a tripod to use at high mags but doesn't seem necessary.I still have a lot of features to explore so I carry it everywhere.Have fun,John, Hexhamshire, UK

Basic, Better, Best
I now take photographs on three devices - an Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, the new Lumix TZ95D and the Fujifilm X100V. I've recently slotted the TZ95D into the 'mix' because I wanted something which was smaller and lighter to use than the X100V on occasions - but with a better image quality than the iPhone. These devices are in my view, handheld computers. The size and pixel density of the images they produce and the file sizes are what I judge them by. The iPhone image comprising 4032 x 3024 pixels in a file typically 2mb in size (i.e. each photo). The TZ95D produces an image of 5184 x 3888 pixels in a file typically 10mb in size. The X100V produces 6240 x 4160 in a file size up to about 16mb. So, unsurprisingly the twelve hundred quid X100V gives the most detailed photos. It would be pretty poor if it didn't at that price! The TZ95D does extremely well, producing detailed and impressive images in a 'travel zoom' (TZ) camera. It also has a 30 times zoom - which the X100V doesn't. Overall I am very pleased with the TZ95D - it is compact - but very able - and gives me the extra flexibility of a small form camera with excellent zoom capability. That 'D' makes all the difference over earlier versions - the all important sensor is better.

Superb camera
Great zoom, WIFI to send images to my phone and heap of features. The images it produces knock spots off even the best camera phone. Not surprising as it has much larger optics. Even in selfie mode.Still getting to grips with its abilities, but point and shoot in Ai mode produces great pictures.Compact cameras like this are becoming hard to find. If it's for you, you need to buy soon as they are fast disappearing off the market.
