So Gloriously Cursed and Entertaining
My boyfriend and I have made it our mission to play every stupid Sonic game we can get our hands on and this one does not disappoint. The dichotomy of the fiddle music and the butt rock. The beloved cast in medieval cosplay. The chili dogs. CHILI DOGS. This game is way more entertaining than it has any right to be. It has filled an emptiness in me. It has buttered my biscuit. It has made this ever-expanding void called life significantly easier to endure. What a gift.As a video game connoisseur, I give it a 3/10 for a profoundly confusing interface and batshit plot. But as a human being? 10/10 for the life it has bestowed upon us. Thank you, Sonic.Oh yeah, the disc worked too, arrived on time and in perfect condition. Thnx!!

Definately one of the Best Games I ever played
It was one of the best games I ever played. The game is challenging but not impossible. As you make it past levels you get a rating (1 to 5 stars) and trust me its most of the levels I played I only got a 2 or 3 so you have to give it you all to get a 5. Unlike the other Sonics if you take damage you can't recollect the rings. Amazing graphics All the levels are unique, no to are same ranging from obvious missions to unbelievable missions. I also loved the story line.

fun game and storyline
My son loves Sonic and enjoys the story themed games. This is fun and just hard enough that he can't beat the boss levels on his or even fourth try but does by listening to the tips given by the sword. Amazing graphics. Well priced.

A surprising addition of the Sonic series!
First off, I've been a longtime Sonic fan and are actually able to say that I really like this game. Some will complain about the inclusion of Sonic having a sword but I found it to be a unique addition. The control scheme for this game is pulled off wonderfully; and nothing feels forced or too difficult.Anyway, Wii's not known to deliver graphics most of the time (with a few exceptions), but I was surprised by the graphics in this game. Considering that it's not an HD game, but it pulls off some great effects. It's colorful but at the same time the color scheme is "soft" rather than bleeding or too much. The graphics are sharp and crisp. It just looks fantastic. If I were to compare this game's graphics to any Sonic game, I'd say it's in the same league as Sonic Unleashed. (although not as high res considering I own the 360 version)The control is a refreshing experience. I was really disappointed with the control scheme that "Sonic and the Secret Rings" featured (because it was pseudo-gyroscopic control that reacted to the Wiimote's tilting)), but Sonic and the Black Knight controls with the Nunchuck and Wii-mote. The Nunchuck's analog stick moves Sonic, Z pulls off some blocking move, A makes sonic jump, B pulls off a Soul Surge attack and swinging the Wii mote will make Sonic swing his sword or pull off combos. (which are both ground and aerial)The sword utilizes "waggle" so feel free to not worry about precision. Bottom line, if you swing the wiimote, sonic will slash an opponent. With that said, some parts of this game requires some timing; which will require you to wait until prompted before taking a swing. The sound in this game was a mixed bag. On one hand, the sound effects are exactly what I'd expect and the voice acting is pretty good; but the music was lacking. Normally, I'd at least compliment a sonic game on it's music (such memorable tunes like Green Hill Zone, Mushroom Zone, the entire soundtrack of Sonic adventure and so on), but the problem with the soundtrack in SATBK is that it's generic and mostly forgettable; which is a problem with most games nowadays. Now onto the gameplay-Sonic and the Black Knight is an on-rails adventure game. Meaning that while you have freedom of movement, you're forced to play one linear path of continuously going forward. If you even try walking backwards, sonic will not turn around. Instead, he will walk in reverse. But fret not, Sonic and The Black Knight offers a pretty decent story and gameplay worth playing. You're also given the ability to revisit any level you've beaten at any time you want. There are alot of levels. Most are short and sweet; while others add a little more. There are boss battles which will require some timing or all out hack and slashing elements, but if one thing's for certain, Sonic and the black knight continues the traditional gameplay we've all come to expect from Sega- which narrows down to replay value and mastering levels for an even higher score than previously earned. The core of it's gameplay relies on using Sonic's sword (Excalibur) and hack and slashing all whilst rushing to a goal. Everything is timed, but you don't have to rush to the goal. However, making it to a goal faster rewards you with a better ranking.Overall, if you're looking for a Sonic game that offers a unique experience for the Wii, with smooth control and great graphics, I highly recommend this as a purchase. The replay value, graphics, the control and it's unique "wii only" gameplay warrants this as a must get game.

A big hit
I bought this for my 7 year old son--it was his first Sonic game. He loves it! He's gotten a tremendous amount of game play out of it, and he still goes back and plays it, long after he finished it. It was challenging enough to make it interesting and even a little difficult now and then, but not so difficult that he was discouraged and gave up. I'm glad I bought it for him and would recommend it, though perhaps not for someone too much older than his age--I'm not sure it would be challenging enough for, say, a typical 12 year old. Now he can't wait to get some more Sonic games!

Awesome, true Sonic
I absolutely love this game. I feel the controllers are easy to use and respond well. I absolutely enjoy the wii setup. I played sonic in the '90's on Sega and couldn't get more than a couple levels. Not to say this game is overly easy, just the controls are realistic to your movements not dependant on timing of hitting buttons. I would recommend this game to Sonic fans.

Great condition
I bought this for my son. Usually, I don't have the time or the patience to write impartial review. However this game was described as "In good condition". The game was almost mint condition! I think that I gained more in this transaction than the seller. I would recommend them anytime. Thanks! You made a 9 y boy very happy in this time of despair.

Easy and entertaining
Bought this for a 5 yr old and when I opened it saw it was rated 10+, but he loves it! We played the first few levels together and it is simple enough for him to play. It's like the original Sega where you just move forward and back and the game keeps you on the path. The rating is likely cause you have a sword, which was to break open boxes for rings, etc. I did have to slay a dragon... but no gruesome violence.
