Cuisinart Seafood 8-Piece Tool Set

Wonderful tools for cracking the shells of crabs and lobsters. Super sturdy and sure to last a lifetime.I have a set and now I just bought a set for my brother in law.They are packed in a nice plastic tray, but the picks fall out place which was not great for presenting this as a gift.I opened the package and stuck clear tape over the picks so they would not fall out of place.Problem solved.

My husband and I love to eat crab legs and lobster (when we can get them on sale!), and we've been sharingthe one cracker and pick that we own, so I decided to look for a whole set so that we could have guests and not beembarrassed by sharing one set. Some of them were so expensive that I was sure I wouldn't find what I wanted untilthese popped up--and they looked perfect, so I ordered them. I couldn't be happier! They're sturdy, nice looking, andmade by Cuisinart--and cost only about $20. What more could a person ask!

We purchased a few of these sets to have ourselves a crab feast. I am surprised that others remarked that this are of poor quality. While the metal is certainly lightweight, it crunched through our crustaceans with ease. The picks were excellent at pulling out crab meat from claws and other cavities. I’m not sure if the tools would do well with heavier fare, and perhaps if lobster is your game a larger lobster specific cracker would be a safe bet. For our crab party, these were just perfect.

I thought that a product from Cuisinart was of quality since I have enjoyed previous products in my family for decades but this set seems just of average metal stock and not finished well. Also, my Cuisinart package was badly damaged though the product was okay inside ... so, just okay and they will work at my Masonic crab feed in February but glad I didn't pay full retail here because if this is the quality of Cuisinart now, it's gone down unfortunately.

These tools were extremely great when I hosted a recent dinner party. My guests were truly appreciative that I thought enough to get individual sets and that they were easy to use. I was proud at how they assisted me in having a smooth dinner.

The title says it all...the heft and finish of the crackers are what stand out first, but the picks are very nicely done as well. There is enough equipment for a normal seafood sit-down without having to constantly share utensils (which is why I got this set in the first place). If you need more pieces than this, you're either having a big party (yes, I'd love to attend!) or there's too much shellfish on the table at once getting cold.

So happy to have this now. We got lobsters for my birthday and I never gave a thought tothe fact I didn't have any of this, what a production! I think in the future if I'm going to a Bridalshower I may just give this as an extra gift to the Bride and Groom they'll thank me some day, maybenot the day they open it but down the road!

I wanted this product for use with king crab and lobster. After using it, I have found it to be very useful and exactly what I wanted. I am satisfied
