New life for an old friend
I have had my thermoelectric cooler for at least 10 years and haven't used it all that much but last month, on a trip to the beach, we used it in the car on the way over to the coast. When I took it out of the van, the fused end of the cord fell on the pavement and broke open. I was just sure I would have to toss the cooler as it was so old but I got on Amazon and there this cord was. It is a perfect fit and works just like it should. The only thing I would say is that the plastic end with the fuse in it is a little flimsy so I would take care in using it. It is good to know some companies still make parts for their older products.

Fits OLDER model Koolmate coolers!
I have a 15-year old Koolmate thermoelectric cooler that has been sitting around my garage for the last few years.For a recent family trip, I decided to pull it out and see if it still worked. Unfortunately, this particular cord had been damaged and was unusable.I searched all over the internet, but could never be sure THIS was the cord I needed. I finally contacted Igloo and was assured that all their thermoelectric coolers, even the old ones, use the same cord.So, I purchased this cord with a great deal of trepidation. It arrived quickly, and lo-and-behold, it fit and my cooler now works perfectly!

Worth every penny
I drive a tour bus for my nephew and this product has proven to be all worth every penny spent to get is, I highly recommend this product!

They keep burning and melting. I have to buy one every 9 months or so.

Original equipment
This item is to replace the one that I have lost. This is a genuine factory replacement so it works just like the old one. It is a bit on the expensive side.

My old cord lasted ten years
My original cord lasted ten years . This new one looks like it was manufactured the same way . If you use your cooler continuously as I do then eventually the end that plugs into the power socket gets hot and melts . Replacing that part is a quick fix . The other end that plugs into the cooler is subject to heat death but took ten years to happen .
