The beam n read will allow you to read in bed, a car, or plane but the light isn't really as bright as I expected it to be. I was a little disappointed with this product.

I really like this. I can see what I am working on without using a big interfering lamp while my husband and I watch TV.I don't use the color bulb covers much but they can come in handy sometimes.Most of the time the bulbs are just un-covered for white light. Why is there no clear bulb cover? I have three very strange cats.One of them likes to steal beads. He thinks the bulbs are beads! I have to make certain the light is closed and face-down so he doesn't hurt himself or the lamp. Sure could use a clear bulb cover.

I expected it to be much brighter, but it will work OK. The colored filters will be helpful when riding in the car at night.

Great little gadget and really worth the money. Would have given it 5 stars if the red filter was more compatible with night vision. It's way short of what's needed, especially for night flight.

I returned this light. It was clunky and awkward. I bought it to use while knitting and watching TV without shining a bright light to disturb others. I didn't like it and would not recommend buying this light.

This 6-LED lamp is really bright, and once positioned on your chest it stays put and doesn't need to be moved around to light up whatever section of the page you're reading. I don't yet know how long the batteries will last, but as a reading aid it's really good. I have no use for the colored filters, but I might buy the AC adapter (although I like being un-tethered, so maybe not!). However, if I were traveling I would bring a smaller light, like the Verso, because it's kind of bulky if you like to pack lightly.

I purchased this when Sandy hurricane left us out of power. The light saved us from a row of dark nights. It's a perfect reading light, gentle for eyes and bright enough for seeing clearly. Different colors of filters add fun to the power-cut nights. 48 hour battery time is a truly merit also. I highly recommend this product.
