Old and faithful Mr Tuffy
I've been using Mr Tuffy since back when they came out with Mr Tuffy since back when it first came out when I started using it was around late '80s early 90s what I recall before Amazon even existed I bought it at the bike shop it has worked very well although it's not foolproof you'll still get some Flats every now and then but do remember it's the sidewall where is the weakest point if you know anything about bicycles and fixing them then this product is for you if you don't you're going to give a bad review and I seen that those are people who have no knowledge about bicycles but as for me I have digged out glass Thorns from the tire and the tire is not even flat now I have had flats for like I said the weakest points is on the side wall for the price and the budget this is a good product now if you want full protection TANNUS which is one that recently came out a few years back I put it on my e-bike now my backyard mechanic I learned how to fix my own bikes we back before YouTube I recommend if you want to go all out and spend the extra money TANNUS but as far as for the budget Mr Tuffy is the way to go like I said I've used them for a very long time BEFORE TANNUS came out and they protect the whole tire sides and top but expensive I still trust Mr Tuffy I've had less Flats with Mr Tuffy's since I've been using for the budget I will go with Mr Tuffy

There ok but
Quarter flat twice one time with the steel rod so that was cool cuz it took it a moment to puncture through the tire and this and I'm not sure what else gave it for a piece of glass so they're okay but not the greatest could be bigger for the 2.0

Great, but I can't understand all the trouble
I've been using Mr. Tuffy's in both my road and mountain bikes for over 30 years. This is the first time I've tried the ultra-lights, so i can't comment on these yet. Reading a lot of the reviews, i just can't understand why anyone would have any trouble at all installing these. The very simple and easy to follow directions are right on the package. I've never run into a problem and I've been installing them way before people started putting out all the YouTube videos that complicate something so incredibly simple.

This stuff actually works! A bizarre and unexpected experiment
I was getting fed up with punctured tires every few weeks, especially with the rear tire, so I decided to try the Mr. Tuffy tire liners.Recently I punctured again on a Sunday morning ride after 33 and a half miles, 400 yards from home.No big deal, it was a short walk. Front tire was completely flat almost immediately. When I got home, I found 2 small, but very sharp thorns embedded in the tire casing which had pierced the inner tube in 2 places. Here's the thing. I found 2 more, longer thorns embedded in the rear tire which was protected by the Mr. Tuffy tire liner which I had installed the week before. The weird part is I wouldn't have checked either tire if the front tire hadn't punctured. I was running 700x25c Michelin Pro 4 endurance tires @ 82 psi. I would recommend the tires and the tire liners.

For flat free rides Mr. Tuffy Bicycle Tire Liner
I barely get flat tires with Mr. Tuffy Bicycle Tire Liner. I use it for my Road bike. If I get flats, it's because my tube blew (became old) or my valve broke. They are really good! And each time I ride I have my tire pressure at 110 PSI. I ride 3 times a week. Thumbs up for this product.

This product will increase the overall dimensions of your tire!
A friend of mine recommended I try ol' Mr. Tuffy on my road bike as he reported no flats since forever. I figured I'd give it a go as the roads in FL tend to be littered with quite a bit of debris. Let me tell you, I think it's easier to hold onto a greased pig than to hold onto Mr. Tuffy. Either they're impregnated with silicone, or made out of silicone, or covered in silicone is anyone's guess - but they are slicker than snot on a doorknob. Keep that in mind when you open the package and Mr. Tuffy unwravles all over your garage floor in nanoseconds. After chasing Mr. Tuffy around for a bit, I managed to get him all recoiled and placed him into my road bike tire. Again, Mr. Tuffy is very tough to hold onto and doesn't like to stay in place inside the tire. Do yourself a favor and cut Mr. Tuffy to size before you place him into your tire. These are made with plenty of overage so get a good measurement before you start installation. Also, cutting Mr. Tuffy is more than tough. He truly lives up to his name. Get a good pair of scissors and be prepared for a wrestling match. After installation was complete I inflated my tires (28 x 700) and promply found that my rear tire was rubbing against the brake housing - which it had not done prior to installing Mr. Tuffy. So, BEWARE that Mr. Tuffy will increase the outside diameter of your tire (or tyre for you Brits or Aussies reading this). I made a few adjustments and managed to make it work with only the slightest rub (which went away after a couple hundred miles as the brand new gator-backs wore down a bit). For you weight conscious riders out there: Adding these to your tires will increase overall weight, but not by much and, if you're racing, you'd never use these anyway. These are for group riders who get in a lot of miles and aren't out to rack up tons of KOM's on Strava - but still want to ride fast and hard and avoid as many flats as possible.
