Perfect! Better than Expected!
I had read a famous makeup artist say that "this" kit (or one that looks just like it) was the best contouring kit for people with light freckled skin so I thought I would give it a try. It is interestingly different when compared to other bronzer/highlighter/contour products. This is sheer in a way that lets my freckles show . . . it's as if other products are trying to cover them up and this one is not. It works well to create subtle contrast in skin tone, without being overwhelming. There is nothing glittery about this, and it has a wonderful blurring and airbrushing effect. I am pleased with it.

Gave it another shot, glad I did.
*UPDATE* Added the missing star, and here's why: Now that it's almost fall (not that fall in Southern California is all that different from summer) and I'm losing my tan (I'm half Hawaiian, half haole) I decided to give this bronzer/highlighter duo another try. And it's working for me. My other bronzer was darker, because I was darker. The highlighter I was using was also more... highlight-y?? You know what I mean. It had more sparkly pizazz to it, which is great during the beach daze of summer. But now I'm liking the more subtle tones of this duo. A more natural look with my not-so-Hawaiian-looking skin tone right now. The pigment is consistent, the texture very soft. It does not get cakey, and it blends well.Received it in record time! But....The bronzer part is good, not too dark, not orange-y. Pretty much just right for my fair-medium skin that hasn't seen much daylight since I'm writing a book and working 2 jobs. The highlighter part however, is "meh." By that I mean, it's way too subtle. It doesn't "highlight" anything, and isn't that the point? Granted, I don't want obvious streaks of fine glitter or anything. But you can barely tell I even used anything at all on my upper cheeks. For the price, I'm glad I bought it since the bronzer is on pointe. But there's not much highlighting going on on the other side. Hence straddling the fence with the 3-stars.

Pretty good, affordable bronzer/highlight duo with caveat
The Good: I got this because it was compared to the Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow, which I have and which is extortionately expensive. When I saw this for under $10, I said sign me up. The pics are as follows: 1) Hollywood Bronze & Glow by itself. 2) Swatches of HB&G on the left, CT on the right; and 3) the two palettes side by side. As you can see, the HB&G contour is actually more pigmented than the CT version, while the highlight is stronger on the CT version. I've been using this for a few months now, and I tend to like this as a blush because of the undertone on my light medium skintone with olive undertones. I also use it as an eyeshadow when I'm not in the mood to fuss with a separate palette, like the picture above. The Bad: That pigmentation can lead to it looking a little patchy on the face if you don't blend it properly and it's got a strong reddish undertone that isn't my favorite, hence why it works better as a blush than a contour on me.The Bottom Line: For the price, I actually think it's worth it, if the undertone works for your skin tone. Just go with a light hand and it should be fine.

More warm toned than expected
I got the most recent new version and it’s much more warm toned than I expected. The bronzer has a lot of luminosity and it’s more warm toned than it appears in the photo and in the reviews. It looked bad on my pale skin and the highlighter was a bit too dark . If you have a warmer undertone and enjoy luminous bronzer you might enjoy it. For reference I wear shade N1 in Loreal true match foundation.

fantastic for bronzing and glowing
I had bought this product 2 years ago in a discount store and was very disappointed that I couldn't find it again when I used it up. So I am thrilled to find it on Amazon. In just a few quick strokes it gives a marvelous neutral bronze color; I would say good for any complexion, and the lighter color gives a glorious glow, Use with a light hand if not too much glow is desired but note: together they give bronze and glow without sparkle or glitter. Just right - a healthy look is the result!

Great product, great price!
First of all, this arrived earlier than I had expected, so I was super excited about that. Second, I do not own the Charlotte Tilbury film star bronze and glow so I don't know how this compares. But, I do know that I love this bronzer and highlighter. Both the bronzer and the highlighter have a little bit of a glow, and both have a soft texture and great pigmentation. The bronzer has more of a natural glowy finish, so it's not something I'd use to contour, but it's great for all over bronzing.. But If you have a deeper medium skintone I'm not sure this would show up on you because it's not a super dark bronzer. And the highlighter is quite a bit more intense, it's sheer in a sense that it is not an opaque powder, but that doesn't mean it doesn't pack a glowy punch! It almost gives you that wet look on top of your cheekbones (or wherever you choose to highlight, and the color is perfect!!! If you're looking for an awesome bronzer and highlighter at an amazing price, definitely check this out! One of my new favorites!

Dupe for Charlotte Tilbury
This is an amazing dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow for a tenth of the price. Some CT items I keep buying because I haven’t found anything comparable (like her lipsticks), but I have been purchasing this for years and can’t see the difference between it and the far more expensive option.
