Good product - Very good instructions.
I ordered this through Amazon from Kanen Coffee. The gasket is an original Rancilio replacement part (has the Rancilio part no. and logo on it). The screen might be, too. I cannot recall having seen an imprint. The screen came with the required screw. Everything fits and works perfectly. - What I really appreciated was Kanen sending an email with a link to an article to the Fixit website that provided clear step by step instructions how to do the disassembly of the old parts, diong the cleaning and the assembly of the new parts. Although the entire process is straight forward it helped to make mistakes. Hadn't I received the email I probably would have started and made a few mistakes and then searched the internet for help.... Thank you guys, I appreciate the little extra effort. I suggest having machine cleaner available when doing the replacement work. You need to properly clean the headunit in order to install the new gasket. The entire process took me about an hours including cleaning of all the parts. It was definitely worth it.No more dripping of water with the new gasket. And having replaced the old, cloaked screen with a new one makes a high difference in the brewing process.

Works great on 1999 Silvia - and a trick for pulling the gasket
I just installed it yesterday and it's working well. When I pulled out the old gasket, the original, it was pretty incompressible and hard. I pulled out the old screens and they were cruddy with accumulated stuff. We use filtered water in the machine (one of those pitchers with the carbon filter), and I think that leads to the long lifetime that I've seen. The coffee stores will tell you to replace these every 3-6 months, depending on use. A little care and occasional cleaning will give you years of service. I got a decade-plus (December 1999 - February 2014) out the original. I didn't see any obvious wear on the screen - nothing that a little cleaning couldn't fix (I used a couple of toothpicks and my fingernails). A bit of something acidic might help - a good soak in the demineralization solution or maybe even a good mouthwash should get off a lot of the crud. I really bought this kit for the gasket. I think that's the item that actually wears out. Unless you're running tons of really caustic stuff through the machine, I don't see why the screens won't last a lifetime. Note - the gasket fits tightly and well. It's hard to pull out. I poked and tweaked with a knifepoint and couldn't make progress. I finally hand-twisted a woodworking screw into the gasket to make a handle to pull it out. Obviously, this destroys the old gasket, so there's no going back once you do this. With the screw in place, the gasket came right out. I picked up this tip from a YouTube video, and it works. The new gasket slips right in with a little pushing. Finally, use the portafilter once or twice to set it in place. Check the alignment (flush), and you're ready to put the screen on.

Everything you NEED and nothing you don't
I had not changed my group head gasket or screen since purchasing my Silvia new (about 10 years). The old gasket was leaking and left me no choice but to replace it. This replacement kit comes with what you need; nothing more and nothing less. The most difficult part of the process was removing the old gasket (which took about 10 minutes). After a thorough cleaning with Cafeza and a nylon bristled brush, I installed the new gasket. I have read other reviews that said they reused the old screen and screw, but saw no reason not to use the new ones. After replacing the gasket, screen and screw I pulled a shot and it made me wish I had done this a long time ago. Not only does the group head no longer leak, but I have much better pressure through the group head; resulting in a great deal more crema. This "tune up" was relatively quick, quite easy, and a great improvement to the functioning of my machine. If you haven't replaced your gasket in the last year or two I would recommend buying this kit and doing so now.

Satisfied
Received it on time and the instructions online were easy to follow. The bolt that comes with it requires a socket wrench, which I wasn't expecting and which I didn't have handy. I ended up just reusing the original bolt. Not a biggie, but just take note when ordering in the event that it matters.

It is an easy job and the directions are about the clearest I ...
I wish I could give this product six stars. Replacing the gasket and screen is routine maintenance and, a trivial expense considering the cost of the machine and coffee. Anyone who cares enough about their Silvia to backflush and descale should perform this routine maintenance. It is an easy job and the directions are about the clearest I have every seen. In a world of terrible directions, these directions ( emailed unsolicited) give one hope for the future. Seller even answers questions should they arise. Great product and I could not be happier with this simple "repair"

Needs to be done
I bought a used machine and noticed that even after cleaning it was still giving off brown water. Got this kit and replaced the gasket and screen. Old screen was full of coffee and had brown sludge on it. It is worth noting, the old screen was stuck to the giant chunk of metal that attaches it to the machine with some kind of clear gunk/rubber to make a tight seal. This gunk was very dirty, but the kit has no replacement for it. I would assume the chunk of metal the gunk was on would have to be replaced if you wanted it clean. The rubber gasket was rather difficult to remove because it was a very tight fit. Once I got the old rubber out, it was clear it was old and would not make as good of a seal as the new rubber. The installation once you get the gasket out is really easy. This kit is a no brainer. I think I will get in the habit of replacing this every few years, as the machine should really be taken apart for cleaning anyhow.
