Expert Shield Glass Screen Protector for Leica Q2 Camera, Standard

I ordered this protector for the Leica Q3. I had an initial order hiccup which I believe was an Amazon issue requiring replacement. The vendor helped me out quickly and easily with a replacement. It arrived perfectly packaged and was the correct item. It was easy to apply and if you have any experience with that, it helps. It fits the Leica Q3 perfectly and doesn't interfere with the touch screen. Very thankful for the excellent product and customer service! Thanks Expert Shield!

I have used this screen protector on three different Leica Q model cameras. I've gotten better with practice installing the shield without imperfections or bubbles, but basically, following their instructions yields good results. And if the results weren't perfect, I either soon learned to ignore them or installed the spare screen that they considerately include in the package. On my last installation, the screen shield was defective, but they were good to their word and sent me a new pack of two shields, the first of which installed perfectly. Once installed, the shield disappears visually and functionally - it fits the Q perfectly, is perfectly transparent, and has no adverse effects on any of the touchscreen functions. Despite the excellence adherence - once installed, it just doesn't budge - they are easy to remove. You probably wouldn't re-use a shield once it's removed, but a fingernail under the edge is enough to flip the shield off the screen, and the gel leaves no residue on the screen, even after years of use. I'd say they ARE the experts in designing the perfect shield. They have become as much an automatic part of my new camera kit as a UV filter for a new lens.

Super-clear protection! I prefer the shiny ones like this rather than the matte ones because these are brighter and clearer. Even outdoors - unless the sun is shining directly on the back of my camera, which it rarely does because I'm holding the camera in front of me, clear non-matte like this just looks better to me. It's not "anti-glare;" it's just as shiny as the screen on the camera - which I prefer.Anyway, this one is glass, and it pretty much disappears once installed. Yes, it is very slightly smaller than the screen itself, a fraction of a millimeter on each side, but it must be. That little bit of clearance is needed otherwise installing it would be a nightmare. Even if a tiny bit of an edge catches the border around the screen, it won't seal. So there's a bit of clearance built in. I noted that it's the same size as the matte Leica-brand screen protector that I replaced.Speaking of which, installing it is not a matter of just slapping the thing on. Allot plenty of time, have everything to hand before starting, and work carefully. Once I got in the groove and did it right, I didn't even have to press out any air bubbles. The gel just spread perfectly evenly right to the edges, all by itself.But what really sets this brand apart is the customer service. I emailed and got a response back from a real person in less than a day, replied to that and got a response back later the same day. All for a 20-buck screen protector. Their customer service is tops!I used this to replace a matte Leica protector that I scratched. That one did its job; the screen was still fine, but this one works better with the touch control on the screen. And it's clear and bright and less than half the price.So:Read the directions.Watch the videos on their website.Have everything to hand before starting.Be patient and work carefully.If you mess up on the first try (like I did), wait a day to calm down (like I did), then try again. There's a spare thoughtfully included in the package just in case.It will look awesome, and using the touchscreen will be just as fast. I will be using Expert Shield protectors on all my cameras from now on.

Very clear. Very tough. A whole lot easier to apply than I expected. After putting on iPhone screen protectors with moderate (or less) success, this had me sweating bullets. Simply follow their instructions exactly. And there’s a YouTube video of an independent user who walks you through it— same info but with a real life user. The result is perfect. It looks better than my iPhone screen. 😃

The screen protector comes with some tough particles. When I was just aligning it on the LCD with the covered side down, it scratched the screen of my brand-new, just opened from the box Leica Q3 with two very obvious spots (see photo). So sad!Q3's touch screen is not very sensitive, with this screen protector on, it is even worse. Pinch zoom is very irresponsive, and often it misses button touches.Lastly, it will take quite some effort to line this with Q3's LCD perfectly.

Bought this for my new Q3 and it fits perfectly. Good value for two protectors.

This is a discreet piece of solid material that really does protect the LCD screen. I've bought it several times for different cameras and the application is smooth, easy and without bubbles! It fits my Leica Q2, Sony A4RII and Fuji Xpro2! Excellent product!
