Remington MB4700 Smart Beard Trimmer with Memory Settings and Digital Touch Screen, Rechargeable for Cordless Use

I picked one of these up just to keep a 5 o'clock shadow as my wife/kids were not digging the full beard look. Lots of choices out there, but I chose Remington because of a very good experience with them. I also have their vacuum trimmer which works quite well as a body hair trimmer. After 2 years the vacuum trimmer stopped charging, I emailed Remington and the very next day, no questions asked, they mailed me a brand new vacuum trimmer. They didn't ask for the old one back or even ask for proof that I disposed of it, which would have been reasonable. In this day and age where companies seem to disappear the minute you have issues with a product I was extremely impressed with Remington's customer service. Anyway back to this trimmer, I really like the memory feature so it's always on 0.8 and I don't have to adjust anything. The cutting itself is great, but you have to make sure the head is completely flat which is a bit of a challenge on the jaw angles. You do have to have multiple passes with this one, I'd say several passes in both grain directions, but this is quick and a full shave takes me maybe 5-10 minutes at the most. It cuts very evenly as long as you keep the head flat and the battery easily lasts as long as I need it to. It even cuts unevenly if that's what you want, sometimes I want my chin/lip to be a bit longer than my jaw and it's adjustable enough to accomplish this and blend it well. The only wishlist request is a way to handle side burns as you can't get a nice line separating them from your beard without actually cutting the beard all the way right under the sideburn. I'm sure there is a better way but I haven't figured it out yet. 2nd wishlist item, I don't really like the mini-USB power connector, it's hard to tell which was is up and if it's properly connected. But overall a great little trimmer backed by very good customer service.

I wasn't sure how much I was going to like the adjustable guard, but it is really cool! The ability to dial up whatever trimmer length is surprisingly handy. The trimmer is easy to grip and easy to clean; I just run it under the shower head. I have had it for a few months and haven't had to recharge it yet. I am very happy with this purchase! UPDATE: I have had this trimmer for about 6 months and am charging it today for only the 2nd time. I use it to trim my beard about once a week. Works great! The guard is removable for defining fine edges. Very happy with this purchase! Update#2 - At 2 years, I still LOVE this beard trimmer!! Works just like it did when it was new! Last Update 4/23/2024 - well, a few days short of five years and the trimmer cutting bar will not start. Battery still fully charges and the comb still moves. The LED display has a few dim segments, but it's nearly all readible. Going to call them tomorrow and see if they will honor the warranty. I still love this trimmer!

I had been using the same beard trimmer for over 5 years. It did the job but took a long time and probably was ripe for replacing. I did a ton of research and decided on this. The battery life could be way better - I don't know why they didn't put a longer lasting battery in it. The ability to adjust the cut by so little was great - I keep my beard short and this allows me to perfect the length. It's very sharp - while it still took multiple passes like my older one, it cut so much more evenly. You could tell after I was done that my beard looked far more professionally cut because of the length and the sharpness of the razor. I like that you pick it up and it's ready to go. I love the fact you can run it under water to clean it. I'm happy with the purchase even though I'll have to charge it more often. Also after I trim I take off the guide and gently use the razor to cut the hair under my beard and on my cheeks. It does a wonderful job of removing the remaining hair. Unfortunately no one has invented a good beard trimmer that also has a foil shaver module that works well. This would be nearly perfect if it had a foil attachment.

The best beard trimmer, period. Great quality and reliable. The detachable guard over the blades is a bit flimsy and easily cracks. You will need to purchase guards separately because no one bothered to create a durable guard resistant to breakage.

Been running great for two years now. no complaints, no issues, no replacements. the best I've used, period!!!!

I wait. My reviews are after long term use. I've had it for 6 yrs. It's no longer as pretty compared to when new. But I take care of my stuff. So it takes care of me. I clean it regularly. Battery life at this point is only a few minutes. Which is fine and irrelevant. I use it as a CORDED trimmer now. Zero reason to toss it yet. Reduce e-waste. Use your items for as long as possible. Hoping this will last at least 10 yrs with corded use. Get an extension cord for a few bucks on Amazon if you need a longer cord. You also get "full power" when plugged in vs. slightly less power, even when battery was new. This is a solid purchase. 👍🏼

I orignally purchsed this trimmer about 5 years ago. A couple of onmths back the battery dies do I ordered the same trimmer agian on January 1, 2026. When it arrived, I charged it and when I turned the unit on, it buzzed for a few seconds and then the unit turns off. The battery read that is ahd a full charge. Amazon did not want the unit returned but they did send me another one. This unit, I charged and used ONCE. When I just went to use it again, it is the same problem. The battery will not hold a charge. I am now returning this unit and I beleive that the trimmers have been sitting on a shelf for so long that the batteries are now defective. Until they come out with an updated version of this trimmer, I do not recommend this product.

Worth the price. I've had similar products that always break. This has worked really well.
