I got this wind cover for my Deity Vmic D3 Pro shotgun microphone. When shooting handheld in the wind, it works great. If you're still getting wind noise after using this on your mic, either your microphone isn't very good or it's too windy and you need a blimp. Even blimps won't block out wind noise if it's too windy.

The dead cat arrived earlier than expected. It fits the Rode microphone. I haven't had the chance to test it in high winds yet.

Gets rid of the wind as best as anything in its price range will

Way too long for the Rode mic I have. I cut it in half and used a swimming 'noodle' whose 'donut hole' was just right for the mic diameter. Cut a half inch off the noodle, trimmed the circumference to snugly fit inside the deadcat, a bit of glue and works great.

Works perfect for smaller mic's. My mic's are about 6" long and this covers the perfect area for them. Overall a tight fit, but they work well. Will continue to use.

For the price, it's an okay option. Not great at keeping wind noise completely out. Always allows some through. I had a different one a few years ago that kept all but storm-level winds out (and even that was mostly kept out). I'll be looking for that. I'm using a Rode microphone with it.

This purchase was to replace my DeadCat that was lost during a shoot. I use it for my Small Rig that houses my iPhone 13 Pro Max. It is a perfect fit and replacement.

Very happy with the results. Sound vastly improved on windy days.

Does NOT fit the rode mic that it claims to fit. Useless.
