Best helmet I've ever owned
I've only done a couple thousand miles in this helmet but so far I love it. I did change to the 31mm cheek pads before extended use. The fit and comfort are perfect for all day use, even on several day trips. Both visors both work great and are easy to use. Vents are easy to use and do provide some cooling, not super but good enough. I still get noise, lots of noise but to be honest I'm not sure there is any way to avoid that, I am after all riding with my head in the wind at highway speeds. The latch on the chin strap is also great and you can work it with or without gloves on. I wear glasses and they slip right on after I put the helmet on and there are no painfull pressure points. Weight hasn't been a problem for me even though I think it is a little heavy in my hands. The "clam shell" is super easy to use and locks up and down very nicely. All in all this is a great helmet.

What's Your Head Worth?
And isn't this helmet spicy! (Expensive) I've been riding for longer than I want to admit. Was even in the business. I've worn just about every brand out there (including my very first helmet from GC Murphy's for $14). If you ride regularly, or for long distances, there is no substitute for good gear and these helmets are exceptional. I've wrecked in them and even just plain worn them out. I won't go into all the positive points here (not enough space/time) but suffice it to say that this is an example of *"You get what you pay for."* When I showed my motorcycle mentor the "great deal" I'd found at the 5 & 10 store (the $14 helmet) He said, "Well kid, if you've got a 10 head, wear a 10 dollar helmet."

Super cool to super dork in 1.2 seconds.
This helmet is HEAVY! But it’s very well made, but nothing feels especially better then my cheaper $300 helmets. It’s supposed to be better at protecting your head, so I guess it’s better to spend a few extra bucks. Also this helmet goes from bad azz to super dork in 1.2 seconds, with its in helmet shade and flip up face guard. Both are amazing features for summer rides.

Best Helmet I have Ever Owned.
In 50 years of riding motorcycles I have always had around a $200 limit on what I was going to spend on a helmet. They all required a long break-in to get the foam to fit around my head. My last Helmet was a Nolan that I thought was the cats meow. I wanted to be able to take phone calls inside my helmet when I was traveling out on the highways and also listen to music. So I bought this helmet and then added the SENA SRL2. Right out of the box this helmet was so comfortable and the quality was excellent. I had to ask myself how much is my head worth and I spent the money on this helmet. Only wish I had done it years ago. I bought the Wine Red and added reflective Shoei stickers on it. Very pleased with the purchase.

Blunt honest opinion
I don’t think I’ve written a review before but here we go:I am the type of person that has expensive taste. I usually judge quality by the price tag too. I also occasionally look up the products on the web. This helmet was always top recommended for modular helmets. I decided to buy it and replace my $250 sena outrush modular helmet for something flashier. For $850, I was expecting the world out of this helmet. When it arrived, there was nothing really special about it. I also bought a Cardo pack talk edge to use with it (all my buddies use that). So $1200 later with everything assembled I rode out. It’s weighs, and performs exactly like my $250 outrush helmet. The only positive thing that happened with this helmet was that some stranger had to come up to me and compliment my helmet saying it looks really good and then noticed the shoei brand and went down memory lane with how it was the big thing back in the day. This kind of experience never happened with my sena helmet. Regardless, this wasn’t enough for me to justify paying $1200 for both items when the sena has it all for $250 so I ended up returning it. I had the red color and large size. Everything was great just too expensive and not worth it.On a side note, I was throughly impressed with the Cardo packtalk edge. Highly recommend that. You actually know where the money went when you use that.

A bit tight on my head, but I have a larger noggin.
Shoei helmets are always high quality. I’ve owned 4 and have no complaints. This helmet has a lot of features. I’m anxious to get the Bluetooth wiring for it.

Well made Japanese helmet
This is my 3rd Shoei Neotech and it packed with lots of features. A built-in flip up sun visor, Pin lock anti-fog lens, air ventilation tunnel on top and near the bottom of the visor, quick connect strap, and it's modular. The entire front of the helmet completely opens up to get more fresh air at a signal light or to talk to someone easier. I love these helmets. They're hand-made in Japan. I have one complaint. This helmet for some reason has a high pitched whistle noise on the freeway and I cannot figure out why. My 2 other Shoei helmets didn't have that noise. Even when my visor and vents are completely closed, I still get that whistling noise. ☹️ I'm not going to return the helmet, it's just an annoyance I'm going to live with.
