I want to start by saying that I bought this cause it was cheap and I needed something fast. I was not expecting much. I didnt not expect the description to be an outright lie though. Basically this review sums up why I think you should NOT buy this kit. Read on if you want to hear about my experience with it in detail. Long story short.....buy welding wire leads for your ground and power and pick up some terminals from Stinger. You will be better off in the long run. Many amps wont make their rated watts without the proper amount and I can honestly say this kit will hurt your chances significantly of getting the full potential from you system and is possibly a fire hazard. The "4 AWG" actually turned out to be somewhere between 6 and 8 awg. If you add in the insulation it might be 4 awg. So right away I knew I would not be able to use the power or ground wire. The speaker wire was around 18 awg which might be okay for your front stage speakers but not for your subs. So once again something else from this kit I would have to replace. The terminals included are extensive and showed promise. I tried to actually use them ( on a different install ) and they broke apart when I clamped them down on the wires. The RCA's ( as expected at this point ) were a joke. After replacing the power, ground and speaker wires I decided to go ahead and use the RCA's. Even though I liked the idea of having the remote wire ran with the rca's it didn't apply in my case. I have a Kenwood in dash dvd player so the rca's hook up to the brain box and the remote wire is ran from the head unit which is no big deal. The problem is shortly after hooking the rca's up to the amp I replaced my amp and when I went to unhook the rca's the center terminal came off inside the amp. The center terminal on the rca plug is a very very thin piece of copper (think about the thickness of hair) over a flimsy piece of plastic. The waterproof inline fuse got so hot it melted the case and blew after 10 or 12 min of playing with a JL 500/1 amp. Now I know that the 500/1 pushes closer to 700 watts but a 60 watt fuse should be more then enough but like everything else in this kit it was complete garbage. The only thing I was able to use from this kit were the zip ties but even some of those would not hold and would come loose. So unless you want to spend $25.50 plus shipping on a few decent zip ties I would suggest buying a different kit or spend a few extra dollars and buy the stuff separately and get a professional set up.

It works...4 Ga?
Most complete kit i have every seen comes with everything and this kit is made to work with any setup you could be putting togeather comes with a bunch of connectors,crimps,screws..etc.. This says 4 gauge but im ALMOST positive its not looks very small once you strip the coating off the wire..I had a RF 4ga kit in my old truck and I remember the coating was not as thick and the was wire bigger but with this kit the opposite they make the coating thicker to make the wire size LOOK right. but its been working fine with my Hifonics 1000.1d 1000rms x 1 @ 1 ohm and seems to be working fine.. i dont know about a 1600rms amp like it says it will run but for what I use it for I love it..

1500watt wire kit
This kit is for a teen who just go his first system i would go with a more expensive kit where you get true 4gauge wire this wire is cheap.

Good
Cables worked great for my application, I installed new pioneer speakers all around in my 2001 Monte Carlo LS, and amped them all. The only cable that was really used was the power cable, which could have been a little longer but worked fine.

NOT AS DESCRIBED
Was a complete wiring kit......BUT....the power wire was all casing......not EVEN CLOSE to the size they described......and so was the ground wire......

Horrible Would not recommend!
I knew it was a cheap amp kit and that eventually the rca or fuse was gonna give out, the rca's gave out it's only been 1 week and a day. Rca's male plug broke off in the back of my Alpine head unit's SW output I've messed with cheap kits in the past but damn they never broke in one week! Radio Shack has real good rca thats what I ran on my old system im gonna have buy some or see what I find on Amazon. Also guage wasn't even close to 4 it was nothing but insulation I might just pay a little more and just for for a better quality real 4ga kit
