Festool way overrated!
I can tell you I am a professionalwoodworker. I have been using festoolfor years. They get more expensive andI am extremely more and more disappointedevery time I bite my lip and spend theway over inflated cost of their product. This is a simplistic parts container.I wore my other one out. So I figuredwhy not spend quadruple on another.Seems the overpriced piece of plastic isredesigned and due to that they changedsome of the inserts. So the additional insertsI bought along with this don’t fit.One thing I can say about festool and anyone who is a loyal customer can’t argue is the factthat they can not leave well enough alone. They are continually changing 5 centsworth of plastic and this is where my years ofloyalty have come to an end. There are other options available at a muchreasonable cost.

Your gonna want...need more!
These are a very nice way to keep things organized! While the argument can be made for wall mounted / Fixed storage, with this / these you can take it/them to where your working intstead of running back and forth to a fixed storage location. The unit comes with and assortment of Plastic containers, which will cause you to immediatly determine that you need more of a given size, which of course you will! The parts containers fit into a insert that holds them all in place so there is no shifting around when its bouncing around the back of your truck, shop, etc. and the lid has a foam insert the 'close' the containers when the lid is shut so parts don't bounce out of their containers. (THE PRODUCT PHOTO SHOWN IS THE OLD STYLE, but the P/N is the new T-Loc/Insert system)I have one of mine set up with the Yellow, Blue and Red containers which I keep all my screw type fasteners in. The others I use all the container sizes and are setup for hardware such as Drawer pulls, Hinges, etc.The unit uses a notched, long Orange container along the inside front that allows the lid to close, but I easily notched the Red and Yellow ones so I did'nt have to keep the Orange one in place.I beat myself up about the price initially, but the system works so well, and is so convienant that I honestly have no regrets what so ever and quite frankly, I need more!A WORD OF CAUTION:You can easily order more of any size of the Plastic containers, and they're inexpensive (probably the ONLY thing Festool makes that is!) so its not an issue to set these up the way you want them, but one thing to BEWARE of is that the containers presently available here on AMAZON are the older version and do not fit this SYSTANER.The Plastic Compartments for the new model all start with 498 XXX as their part number. One of the dealers here on AMAZON, (The ToolNut) does have the right ones (try festoolproducts dot com) but youll have to contact them directly as they don't presently show up on the general amazon search.Again, all I can add is that I need more!

Expensive, but worthy storage.
I've tried every type of organizational method for small parts in my shop. Most recently, I'd finally broken down and put everything in Stanley-brand containers (like this SYS 1 box) that cost about $20 at Home Depot. Other materials I'd put in those little plastic drawer things and hung them on the wall. I spent quite a bit of money on those organizational methods, only to find them lacking. Not so with this SYS1 box.Make no mistake... this sys-1 box is five times the cost of a similar stanley-style or harbor-freight unit. The differences are subtle and add up to time savings and reduced aggravation... which means it's only worth it if you're a time-poor person.-- Materials do not move from bin to bin during transport-- The innards of the box can be removed and replaced with other inserts... further enhancing the flexibility of the system.-- The box "feels solid." Hard to put a price on this, but it basically feels like you're handling a tool, not a toy.-- The systainer/sortainer latching and transport system works well. If this is your own systainer box, you'll never reap the benefits and you're paying too much. But if you commit to the system, the benefits are greater as you add boxes and components.-- In my case, I've purchased an empty SYS-3 box and built dividers into to organize my nailers (pinner, brad nailer, finish nailer). SO... this sys 1 box now clips directly to the box with my nailers, and the two travel as a pair wherever they go. Simpler, easier, faster.

they are super handy
Standard statement for Festool, there are less expensive options. Also, these are begrudgingly, worth the money.I use several of these for various items. The included organizing trays do not allow any items to fall into other trays even if tumbled around.

Expensive but well engineered and a pleasure to own
Absolutely love the luxurious box, Yes it is way overpriced but it is in a league of its own and a great additional to the Festool Systainer ecosystem. Such a pleasure to have everything organized and can just grab a box with everything that you need for a particular job laid out in a orderly fashion. I spent way too much on several of the sustainer products but have no regrets.

Ferociously expensive, but works
So, this feels like it should be $30 to me. It's injection molded plastic. But it fits well with my two other festool boxes, and got a box twice it's size out of my limited space. The red containers that fit this are $15 for 12 more of them on Amazon, Festool 498038; adding those allowed me to get all of my screws into this box. It's also about half again deeper than the box I was using before, so it fit more than I was expecting.Would be 5 stars... at half the price.

Great organizational tool
Great organizational tool for fasteners and small parts. Integrates perfectly with other Systainers. No more fabric parachute bags that get holes worn through the bottoms, tippy plastic dividers that nest into 5 gallon buckets (and you have to take them all out to get to the one on the bottom), or just a big mess full of misc fasteners rolling around in a box in your vehicle
