Dickies Boys' Flex Waist Short

I have bought Dickies pants for my son and we love them. Decided to try the shorts for my son. He is slimmer in the waist. They have an adjustable waist, smooth front and legs. They are a little longer, more like skater shorts. Perfect for him. I love the durable material. Fantastic price .

Very pleased with this purchase! These shorts are narrow fitting and longer, with the extension straps in the waist, perfect for anyone who is taller and lengthy! I generally order up because kids grow like weeds, but I ordered the current size due to reviews stating they run large. They do seem a bit larger especially since they are the longer short style. I will definitely order these in other colors for "go to" every day shorts.

Before I found these shorts , I went through at least 4-5 pairs of uniform shorts for my son. These shorts are long, they fall alittle below the knee , grass comes out, dirt comes , food comes out, and they look nice. THEY LOOK NICE!!!! I have these in the dessert sand and the Navy. And he's even worn these out to dinner. Thank God for these shorts.

I've ordered Dickies shorts for my son in the past, but this is the first time they were too large. Dickies have a tendency to run small, so I usually order 1 size up from his normal size. This time I ordered 2 sizes up (size 14) as 1 size up usually seemed to cut it too close. We received the size 14 shorts but found that they were too large when he tried them on, so I returned them and got size 12 instead. When we received the size 12 shorts, they didn't look much smaller than the ones we had returned, and for the first time ever, I probably should have considered ordering his size, which is currently a size 10. I didn't have time to return the size 12 shorts and order size 10 shorts as school was about to begin, so I've hemmed up the shorts to a length that's more comfortable for my son. Thank goodness that these are Flex Waist, as I have pulled these in to about the 8th button on each side. The good side? First, Dickies quality is definitely there, and it has never let me down. Next, he's a growing boy, so he should be able to grow into them at some point during the year. I give it a 3-star for the sizing issues, as most people (including myself) have a difficult time with it, and I give it a 5-star for their durability and construction, so it ends up being an overall 4-star.

No shrinking, no wrinkles ever, adjustable waistband, and Durable. Last school year I bought several styles and brands and found this one was the best fit with regards to the criteria mentioned above. I will no longer buy any other type of shorts, literally.

They have the adjustable waist band on the inside, the color is so crisp, even after they have been washed/dried, they seem (not 100% sure) to be wrinkle free, which is a plus, and my son loved wearing them, he was very comfortable. I almost forgot to mention that my son, who is 4, still struggles a bit undoing the button shorts, but these have the hook clasp, which he totally prefers anytime he gets a choice to pick out his own shorts. I will be buying more, especially as he grows.

These are for my grandson, who is tall and lanky. A little big, but because of the waist adjusters they fit fine. Laundered very well and NO WRINKLES!

dickies is a good brand, quality stuff, fit is good except find the leg hole quite huge, this is relaxed fit which didn't mention in the product description, overall is good, will seek other design if shipping cost can be lower, thanks seller,

Cut smaller than you would expect and very stiff - not a good combination. Appear to be well made.

Awesome product. Colour is perfect for my sons uniform. They fit with room to grow. Overall very happy with my purchase. Will definitely be buying more!
