The Knight in Rusty Armor

I don't write reviews often and... this book was given to me over 30 years ago by a therapist in my teens and I recently reread it and liked it so much I recommend it to anyone wanting to find the secret to being free of their defense protections that stop them from fully living a full life. I have been working on self discovery and credit my incredibly successful life and current deep healing to the concepts in this little book. Very easy reading, simple concepts in a fun well conceived story. No unnecessary padding so it's great it's only 74 pages. Friends are now sharing it with their kids and telling others and for myself, I just sent a copy to a family member that is going through a rough time. One of the best books on letting go and accepting what is I have read in decades. More than 5 stars is well deserved!!!

This wee fable is...well its amazing how it gets into you. It reads like a childs story. it's not what is being said as much as what is being said in between the line. Apparently this Author wrote a very famous tv show, and later was hospitalized for depression and wrote this book after that experience. Or so the rumor goes. But I will say this. It is strange how this wee story cleans out the invisible Cobb webs that seem to be holding you back. It does exactly what the book intends to do. It removes your rusty armor. and it's not even as much while you read it. It gets into you and marinates and stays with you for months on end and keeps healing you, waking you up. Honestly I think one of the most powerful self help books hands down. I have read it a number of times and I have recommended it many times over the years. It's the simplest silly fable ever, and it hits you like a sledge hammer in the face! and knocks down walls, whether you want it to or not! Give it a go!

As a therapist I used to say trying to describe the therapeutic process is like trying to describe an orgasm to someone who has never had one. This book, metaphorically, does a good job in illuminating and sharing insight into the therapeutic process. Short and easy to read,

The knight in rusty armor Funny guide to change our behavior Physically is a medium size book, with less than 100 pages. The letter size is good enough for easy reading. That is to say, the book has good quality. The book tells a short tale. Although is a short story, you can find a deep description of "men" perception about changes. I would recommend you to read it slowly in order to avoid missing parts or messages that you can find on it. The story is an analogy between the knights and the modern men. In fact, I think it could cause different feelings for men and for women. I am not sure but I think that the book will be more interesting for those who have difficult in changing than those who are willing to change. But for sure both will enjoy it. This book is for everybody. I recommend it specially for those who find it so hard to admit their own responsibility or try to avoid circumstances where will need to accept mistakes . You will find that it was too hard for the knight to change his habits as well as it could be difficult for modern men to changes his attitude. Since the knight tale could be also a metaphor for actual men, keep your mind open if you wish to read it. You could be reading my comments with a critic attitude to find mistakes on my "rusty" writing (and I would appreciate them since I am trying to improve my writing), or under a shining armor.

Book generally in good shape $2.99 price rag sticker on back not great optics when paid 3 times that for it but overall satisfied.

An amazing book teaching us a good lesson pointing towards the way to freedom (being free from ... our sweltering selves). To be read by anyone walking a spiritual path.
