Basic, simple recipes
The book is great for the most part, but some recipes require tweaking. I count macros so I bought this book to add to my arsenal of recipes. I’ve made several of the recipes. Most of them taste good, but some are definitely bland. I always test out the recipe as is before making tweaks. When I was making the Slow-Cooked Shredded Chicken, I was wary since the recipe did not call for any spices. However, I figured maybe the author knew something I didn’t. Wrong. It came out so bland, but was much better after I added seasonings. That’s the main reason I did not give it 5 stars. The recipes are very basic and easy to make. I would probably recommend this for someone looking to simplify their recipes or cut down on prepping time in the kitchen. This is very similar to The Bodybuilder’s kitchen. Some of the recipes mirror each other save for one of two modifications, but the layout is the same.

A MUST HAVE
This book is fantastic! It is about time a champion athlete with a nutrition/science background shares some of their secrets. Nutrition is so complex; yet author, Chris Algieri breaks it down so that anyone can be successful. I literally mean anyone, from a kid just starting to dabble with nutrition, to an older adult wanting to maximize their nutrition for health, to your pro athlete. This book has it all. So far, every recipe I have tried has been a hit. I am excited to try them all.

Must have for any athlete.
I bought this book as a boxing fan knowing Chris Algeri is a great fighter and has been used as a chef/ nutritionist in other fighters camps. The book did not disappoint, he makes it easy to accomplish your goals, the recipes are easy and taste great.

easy to follow tasty recipes
This quickly became the favorite cookbook that I own. The recipes are straight forward and easy to make. Great book for a single person or couple looking to make healthy meals. The book also includes meal plans which are an added bonus that I really liked. Nothing fancy, which is why I like it. Wish I had this book when I was in college.

10/10 get this book
I am not a big cookbook person - but this book is awesome. Chris Algieri is so incredibly thoughtful in his approach to smart eating. Every single recipe is dripping with logic, his knowledge and the science behind well balanced meals. Plus the food tastes great! It takes mundane meal plans and remakes them into some pretty exciting and healthy meals. Do yourself a favor and buy this book ASAP.

GREAT BOOK
Its great to have someone with Chris Algieri's background, not only as a former boxing champion but as a nutritionist too. This book is nicely structured with recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, you name it! Along with information and knowledge one needs to arm themselves as they fuel their bodies! Who said healthy eating has to be boring and tasteless? This book is proof that healthy eating and cooking can be fun, colorful, tasteful and fueling!

Wish for more photos, but love it nonetheless!
I’m totally not a fighter, I bought this for the recipes and I’m enjoying it thoroughly! Only reason for 4 stars is for lack of photos of each recipe. You’ll notice there is a ton of blank space on these pages which could have easily fit a photo of the finished product. But other than that, a great cook book!

Great format, simple to understand and visually impressive photos and text
Simple, no nonsense, easy to execute plan. Since i purchased this awesome book i am down 12 lbs. by adopting only some of the guidelines and principles found inside. Can't wait to see what kind of results I will get when I fully commit.It is also a great feeling that the author is a professional athlete and an trained authority on the subject with all the academic and professional credentials.Invest in yourself and your health and buy this book.

Incredible insight into how to manage food
This book is truly amazing for anyone looking to understand a little more about the science of nutrition and how to use it to your advantage. There are some incredible recipes and meal plans in here and it's really changed the way I view food.I cannot recommend this book strongly enough. If you're looking to bulk up, lose weight, get stronger, or just maintain, there really is something for everyone.

A Picture Speaks Volumes
Il ove this book packed full of great ideas. Quick and easy Perfect. Plus though not totally a vegan or vegetarian cookbook, I would say a good percentage are meat-free.My only gripe is most of the recipes in my book do not have pictures of the finished dishes. The book's pages look like there have been gaps left for an image but most recipes do not have a picture to go with the text.

Buy this book without a doubt
Excellent book, gives you all the info you need as well as different plans and loads of recipes to try.If you’re looking to get into shape then it starts in the kitchen and with this book

Good quality, informative.
The book seems really nice, all the nutrition broken down in each recipe. It also has an introduction about nutrition and how to get mad gains which is useful if you're just starting out!

nothing interesting apart from the smoothies..i expected vegetatian recipes but there is plenty of meat too
