Brand-name quality at a good price
Ordered generic versions before and they were thinner, and not as durable. I wanted OEM quality and this came fast at a good price. 👍🏼

Perfect
4 pack way to go because eventually any of these products fail. If you have Camelbak then buy these, they simply work as original.

Great valves - suitable for HydraPak soft flasks too!
These valves work great. The end that slides onto the tube is a *tiny* bit narrower than the bite valve that came with my Camelbak (which is at least 10-12 years old). So it's a slightly 'snugger' fit. I actually bought these to use with some HydraPak softflasks (https://smile.amazon.com/Hydrapak-Ultraflask-Flask-Malibu-300ml/dp/B01N7XLYE9/) because the bite valves they use have a very narrow opening so it's more effort to drink from them. In my case, I am using the softflasks for holding gel - which is *really* hard to get through the stock bite valve. These Camelbak valves are a VERY tight fit to get onto the Hydrapak bottles - but they will stretch enough to get on there. These valves make it much easier to get gel (or water) out of the bottles. Also - the opening on the "bite" part of the valve isn't as wide as what I had on my 12-year-old bit valve. But I took a utility knife (razor blade or pocket knife should work fine too - the sharper the better) and extended the "slit" a little on each side. Now it opens up just as wide as my original valve.

Just what the doctor ordered
I'm on my second batch of 4. These are great! Perfect replacements that last a long time. The wear-and-tear is self inflicted and occasionally a branch will snag on the end of my hose and tear one off or split it while mountain biking. No problem, just pop a new one on. I carry one in my camelback since they're so light and small. Highly recommend if you old one is missing or is broken. The slits seal well and don't dribble unless you sit on it or place the bag on top of it (which I've done). Again, operator error and not a product defect. These are excellent replacements!

Leaks occasionally
These work great but will eventually leak. I just paired it with the Ergo hydrolock on my son's mini mule back.He did chew through one in a few weeks, we got another and he chewed through it in 15 minutes. (He's 3 and once he discovered what he could do he tried it again...)We finally got the bite valve cover and it perfectly covers and protects the long neck part that he was chewing through. He and my 19 month old can chew all they want on the actual mouth piece of the bite valve without causing damage now. Trust me, it's worth the extra expense and doesn't get in the way. (We never bother to close the cover and I'm not sure it really stays closed anyway...)

CamelBak Bite Valves are a Jaw saver!
These are replacement bite valves for my Camelbak line that came with my backpack -- which I'm now using in my hydration bags, one with a Camelbak bladder and one with a Platypus bladder and hose, on my recumbent trike. The first bite valve lasted from 2007 when I bought the backpack, until about a year ago, but I didn't think of replacing it 'til I saw these. They work wonderfully! I'm just glad I thought to put one onto the Platypus hose, too, because it is SOOO much more comfortable for my jaw -- I have a TMJ problem - than the old Platypus one was. In fact, I used the Platypus one once, and just prayed that I would never, ever, run dry in my Camelbak system before I got home, as much as the Platypus hurt my jaw.I really, really like, too, the bright colors. I may have grown older (65) but I refuse to grow up.

NOT FOR WATER BOTTLES!!!
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR ANY KIND OF WATER BOTTLE!!! It says so right in the description. FOR USE WITH RESEVOIR type Bla Bla Bla.... That's the kind of "container" you stick in a back pack and pull liguid through a long tube with a valve on the end of that tube. NOT FOR WATER BOTTLES!!!If you're worried about this NOT being a CamelBak brand bite valve don't be. I received CamelBak bite valves. Colors are cool. Perfect fit on RESEVIOR tubes.So... for the numbskulls that give this product a 1star rating - do yourself and the community at large a favor and start reading the product description. Bad reviews really affect the rating of a product. And since amazon doesn't necessarily care about the stars given, they'll allow any sort of review go live.
