Alpha System 103 Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin Kit 1.5 kg

Used resins for the very first time. Using this product was very easy. Provides excellent shine after drying. Tow issues with this product though 1. The product bottles do lack proper instructions for mix proportions. 2. The inner stopper/cork is very difficult to remove especially on the resin bottle. The one on the Hardener bottle is ok. Quality-wise no complaints. Used it to give a glassy shine to my home made water fountain. However found that it Lost's it shine only after couple of day use. May be not suitable for such applications. However it still provides the desired waterproofing I required.

I have used this system to give a glitter coat on my guitar. The resin has strong smell, but once after curing there is no noticeable odour or anything. But, thing to be carefull about is that it is a 2:1 system by mass. When I first got this, I did a trial coat, but I mixed them 2:1 by volume. Though cured it was not hard like rock but a little bit softer. Then using a weighing scale I mixed them correctly in 2:1 ratio by mass. It came of very good. What I found out was that the harderner is less denser compared to the resin by a small factor. Besides that the system is very nice. Bubbles are easily removable. But for beginners i would suggest for a 1:1 system rather than this one.

This is my small project of trial befire pouring on a big surface.... i find this epoxy is excellent and ease to use small bubles disappered so fast just to warm on a hot water or flame tourch. I took a longer time to mix 5-10mins the yellowing of the epoxy goes away, the epoxy came out so clear after mixing properly il revjee again after it cure. But after a curing time of 48 hours i was using it as a coaster at my dining table sadly the epoxy leaves a deep mark of a cup.... that means it is not hard enough. Please improve it. Thank u

This one for the manufacturer: the first set I bought came out to be absolutely awesome and easy to use which makes your product a value for money. But the second set was defective as no matter how long I mix the epoxy and hardner it would not solidify and still remain flexible. The first set would freeze rock hard in an hour but this one takes 1 complete day and never becomes Rock hard. It is clear that you can give great quality but I think there is a lack of consistency in quality, as there was a big difference in the two orders I made of the same product. Please, many of you customers are artists and making anything out of epoxy takes dedication and great effort. It is really disappoinying to see that after putting so much effort things don't come out well. This is so disappointing Please don't do this 🙏

Very good and clear epoxy. 2:1 mix ratio. Pot time of around 45 minutes. Cures within 12-16 hours. It gives a clear glass like glossy finish. No problem with bubble formation add it is easy to removev any treasurer bubbles with a little heat. Ordered again as it's a steal deal 1.5kg for Rs 999.

Advantage of this product is that it's curing time is much less. But not ridiculously low like little birdie's resin. You can put another layer on top of it after 2-3 hr. Most negative point that it is not clear. Yellow tinge is there. Sometimes a bit smoky too. Never use it for transparent object. You can only use it if you add colour into it. Resin is one of my hobbies. It becomes very painful to me to wait for hours together. I have my job to attend. I'm recently using it for quick setting. If you need crystal clear object then Epoke resin will be the best. But it takes very very long time to get cured. Another advantage of this resin is that you will get very few bubbles. They get cleared automatically. Here it scores much higher than epoke. Another negative point is that there is no instruction about mixing ratio!!!!! Luckily i found 2:1 ratio from another review in amazon!!!! Many that to that gentleman. SO MORAL OF THE STORY IS ONLY IF YOU NEED FAST CURING AND ADD COLOR TO RESIN THEN IT IT'S PERFECT FOR YOU.

Bought this product for a college project. Followed each and every instruction and used the ratio suggested by the manufacturer (3:1 for Epoxy and Hardner Respectively). After almost 3 days of curing in very hot conditions the end product was not at all hard, it was slimy and gooey and could be folded like a chapati. All in all very disappointed by the product.

I've been using this for a while now. And trust me have not faced any issues of the final product being yellow. This is 100% clear. Not had any issues. However, I'm just not sure if it dries faster with UV or not. This is the most pocket-friendly epoxy resin. The ratio that I use is 2:1 (Epoxy: Hardener). I have purchased this at least 3 times, and I can vouch for this brand, that this is really good.
