Magnetic Car Sunroof Sun Shade Breathable Mesh,Car roof Cover for Camping

I wasn't expecting much from this, but as I'm planning to camp in my car this weekend, I hope to have something to cover the sunroof like this. This will definitely work, although with my sunroof open it does tilt a little bit and it did pull on the mesh and cause some gaping between where the magnets sit. I don't think it will be that big of an issue and I can probably reach it enough to fuss with it and get it mostly closed. It does provide a good amount of shade as well as blocking out bugs. It fit well on my 2014 Honda CRV with extra room for arranging.

Before rejecting this due to reviews, take note that many are rating it for not doing something it wasn't meant to do! I have NO EXPECTATION OF THIS STAYING ON THE CAR WHILE DRIVING AROUND. That is not the intended use. However, as a screen to keep bugs out when i'm car camping it looks like it will work perfectly! I have a RAV4 and found it fit with a couple extra inches all around. Since I will have a cargo box on the car I tested installing from inside the car up through the moonroof and got it mostly in place with little difficulty. I could then pull on the edges from the sides of the car to straighten and flatten it. This will not block out light and is pretty see through, but that is expected. NOTE: Some reviews mention the magnets sliding around within their sleeve. It appears the company responded to that and there is now some stitching to keep the magnets in place.

Easy to open, easy to close and put back in the bag. Just pay attention to the way it was packed in the factory, fold in half lengthways, perform a 180 degree twist lengthwise, fold in half on the short axis, and then allow the magnets to come together in a single bundle, grab the remaining fabric and put in the bag. Easy. This screen is actually 2 inch to long for my moon roof, as i have a factory rack up there. So i just folded the short end magnet strips back over itself, and it still clamps well to the metal, while keeping a decent seal against the roof. If you folded it the other way (with the magnets underneath the mesh fold), there would be a gap at the corners which the bugs could get in if there was a breeze. For the money this is a decent solution to having a breeze in the car when it is dark. As it states in the description, do not use while driving .... It will fly off, the magnets are nowhere near strong enough for that kind of thing.

This worked great for our '24 4Runner. Covered the sunroof completely and super easy to install and remove.

This magnetic car sunroof shade is very easy to put on and take off, and the magnets are strong. It fits my 2016 Honda Odyssey well. What I like most is how easy it is to fold and store away when not in use. It doesn't take up much space in the van, which is a big plus. It holds up well in strong winds, and the airflow still comes through just fine. I had been looking for something like this for quite some time, and I'm glad I finally found it. If you're looking for an easy-to-install sunroof shade that stores compactly and stays in place, this is a great option.

Zero stars. It flew off my car the first time I used it. Here are some other complaints. If any of you readers suffered property loss or physical medical loss, contact me. Magnets not being strong enough: Some users have found that the magnets aren't strong enough to hold the shade securely, particularly at higher speeds or in windy conditions. Magnets not being magnetic at all: In one instance, a customer reported that the magnets on their shade were completely non-magnetic and caused the shade to fall down easily. Shade detaching or falling down during driving: Users have reported the shades not staying on while driving at highway speeds or falling down when the rear windows are open. Shifting magnets: One user mentioned that the magnets shifted within their channels, making it difficult to properly place the shade. Magnets scratching the car paint: A user who had used magnetic sunshades on their windows for a short period reported that the magnets scratched the paint, potentially leading to rust.

When I first got it out of the carrying bag it came in it stayed on my car great until I went through a car wash and it came off cuz I forgot it was up there but after I got it backs on top over my sunroof it kept coming off so don't wash it if you want the magnets to stay working.

This is great for car camping to get extra breeze but no bugs. I wouldn’t use this while actually driving my car. The magnets hold it in place but it would definitely fly off if I was driving. I purchased my own heavy duty magnets to make it a bit more secure but the ones it comes with work just fine. Folds up easily when not using. I use this on my Honda Passport and it’s plenty big enough.

Strong magnet. Bought to keep birds off sunroof but now can keep window open with no wind for puppy travels.
