After some debate, I'm going to go ahead and give this the full 5 stars.... if this cost twice as much (as they do in the local stores) I would give it a 3.5, but at this price, it's a steal. Every piece COULD be made sturdier (at a price) or fancier, but everything is perfectly fine.We don't have the luxury of eating crab very often, so I'm very happy with the price/performance ratio here... if you regularly use these tools are want to be more showy for your guests, you could find higher quality gourmet versions.Considering Price: 5 starsNot Considering Price: 3.75 stars

The scraping stainless steel tool is like a multitool for me and I'm quite pleased with it! The scissors do struggle a bit towards the harder parts of the shell/legs and while the crackers are nice quality, I just struggled to get them to crack the legs in a way that didn't break tiny pieces of shell into the meat. Ended up just using my hands to snap the legs at weak points, the scraping tool to get the meat away from the shell, and used the wrist trick to get the large pieces of crab out of the legs.

Yes, the crackers and the cutters work great! The little black carrying bag helps keep everything together. Works great with crabs, shrimp and crawfish.

This is a great set for the money. The scissors cut through tough lobster shells fairly easy. I like the scissors so much I use them for cutting open other stuff.

They work well and were a good kit for my newfound love of crab legs.

Light weight, ok for king crab soft shells. Moderately effective to crack claws.

The silver stylus-like tool is the most useful in digging out the crab meat, the red hook tool is great used to e.g. insert in a leg shell and "zipper" crank open the shell. But all the tools are useful in different ways and make picking crabs more enjoyable.
