With The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus

This is basically a greatest hits CD, but with a Symphony and Choir. The band keeps to the original versions of each song, all the riffs, notes and arrangements are there and performed well. Kelly nails the vocals and may be the best part of each song. He is just a great singer and hits all of Lou's notes. The Symphony and Choir are very tastefully integrated into the songs and even have some stand alone pieces.Overall - very good. If you love Foreigner, you will love this. Go support the band.

This is an excellent performance, the symphony orchestra really adds a new dimension to the sound. I highly recommend this cd.

This is an amazing CD, after 40 years Foreigner still kicking butt! Kelly Hansen's powerful vocals blended with the rest of the boys amazing talent have kept them rocking!

I wondered about purchasing this cd. Sound quality is very good. There is great balance between the band and the orchestra. The band gets the audience very involved. Will probably wear this cd out.

I just love Foreigner from way back! I was listening to them when they come out so many years ago. This is a great album with the symphony added to their classic songs. I would highly recommend it!

I have always said that certain groups, when musics is played with an accompanying orchestra, is just the epitome of sound! Metallica, ELO, now Foreigner...Superb CD!

This is great. Saw the live show on tv and decided to buy the cd to listen to. I love it when rock bands add symphonic music to their music. Makes for an awesome listen.

The CD is excellent. As you listen to a few times, the beauty and complexity of the songs grow on you. Highly recommended.

I purchased this for the DVD, and boy, its well worth it. A fantastic concert featuring Foreigners greatest hits, superbly recorded, presented and performed. If this kind of rock floats your boat, you will not be disappointed. Lou Gramm should be sorely missed, but Kelly Hanson is a worthy successor, the music and atmosphere is contagious and with the Orchestra behind them the delivery is slick and on the nail.The pleasure of the band is evident, and its hard not to sing along with all the fabulous hits as they are rolled out with a new and revitalised energy. If you've not seen Foreigner live, get this. If you have seen Foreigner live,....get this!!!!! Marvellous.

This is a wonderful album the orchestra sound so good and foreigner are at their best. They go from strength to strength I recommend it to everyone. The DVD is brilliant as well.

Also nun kann auch Foreigner einen Haken hinter "Nimm ein Symphonic - Album auf" setzen. Aber was bei vielen Musikern und Bands wirklich nur Kommerz war und teilweise auch nicht wirklich qualitativ hochwertig ausging, macht Foreigner um einiges besser.Die Songauswahl ist genial und die Arrangements mit Orchester nicht zu penetrant und gezwungen. Das Orchester ist zwar immer präsent aber nie aufdringlich. Den einen Song führt es, den anderen begleitet es lediglich. Gerockt wird jedenfalls ausgiebig - die Songs werden nicht weich gespült...das Chor-Intro zu "When it comes to love" erzeugt Gänsehaut pur. "The Flame still burns" entwickelt sich von einem unscheinbaren Song im Verlauf in ein wahres Epos.Die Qualität der Discs ist gewaltig. Dachte ich vor der Veröffentlichung noch "warum gibt es heutzutage nur eine DVD und keine Blu-ray" - so verstand ich es nach spätestens 2 Songs. Bild und Ton sind der Hammer - dass das auf DVD möglich ist?!Das Digipack ist schön aufgemacht, mit einem informativen Booklet versehen und besonders lobenswert: die Discs sind in einzelnen stabilen Halterungen befestigt und nicht in die Pappe eingeschoben - sehr schonende aber heutzutage leider seltene Lösung - dafür schon alleine 5 Sterne :)Insgesamt kann ich nicht anders, als zu vollen 5 Sternen greifen. Die Disc wird noch einige Male in meinem Player landen.

Excellent purchase, was even better than I could have hoped. I was lucky to see the group perform live recently with the orchestra at a concert and hearing the CD reminds me of the fabulous show/night again.
