Jim Weider's Pulse is a must have!!!His phrasing and telecaster tone are sonic ear candy,i cannot take this out of my player.Each track is unique and a layered joy to experience.I have listened to it 5x in a row now and it makes my soul resonate like a tuning fork.Get it ,experience it ,ENJOY IT!!! Can't wait to see him live!!!

I ain't no musician, but this stuff floats my boat something fierce. Lord, these boys can play. It seems to me that anybody who has a fondness for a lot of energy for their musical buck, and who enjoys tight, complex songs and superb musicianship is doing themselves a disservice by not purchasing Jimmy's entire catalogue right this farging second! With all the crapola being foisted upon us everywhere we turn, supporting these guys may the only way to bring balance back to the cosmos: Buy this - Save the Universe!

Here with Pulse, you can hear why. This is a diverse group of top notch musicians who together meld their talents into a cohesive,dynamic sound, which like the best music, will take you along for the journey. The talent in this band is prodigious! This is ensemble playing at it's finest.Jim Weider and Mitch Stein on guitars,both encompass gorgeous tone, and play with both subtlety and fire as the songs evolve. Steve Lucas is a bass players bass player,the foundation sauce for this stew. You get Rodney Holmes on drums,one of the finest, most creative and powerful drummers on the scene today;he stirs the stew.This is music that is both layered and accessible and as a group they create ,together, music in which they very much communicate, as the grooves evolve. These are not songs as much as they are journeys!Pick up Pulse and go for the ride. I reckon you'll enjoy!!!

An infectious mix of pieces led by Jim Weider's thoughtful musings on the tele and Mitch Stein's super tight, soaring strat style.Add Bass and percussion at the highest level you're likely to ever hear and you have a band that works like a well oiled machine.This music will grow on you as you listen to it because there is so much there to process.Like all good music "Pulse" takes the mind out of the here and now and into that third dimension of thought called art.Enjoy this one.

This album shows that Jim continues to evolve with each new release, as both a player and composer. His control over the electric guitar is just amazing. He combines the best elements of rock, blues, jazz, and fusion like nobody else, playing with raw power but using a delicate touch. Great work, Jim. I'm ready for more.

Jim Weider's" Pulse" is a must have for any music library! The guitar playing is fantastic and the sounds are wonderful. The beautiful arrangements eloquently skate the threshold of jamming and rock. As soon as I listened to Squirrels in Paris, this record became a goto on my ipod.

Pulse is a great follow up to Jim's last record. The tone he pulls out of his Tele is outstanding. Jim has carried out two Master Classes in my music store. He is a seriously good musician with a passion for music. Be prepared for even better things to come.Buy it!
