I LOVE these old fashioned candies and remember them from my childhood when they were penny candy. The formula is the same and they’re delicious!!!!

The 5 Star rating is so as not to damage the reputation of the vendor/distributor who performed well. However, the actual Mary Jane candy that we all knew and grew up with is NOT this one. This newly modified abberation is totally different. It is 1/2 the size, is cylindrical in shape and NOT rectangular and is missing the peanut butter. It is a total disappointment. This is NOT the "retro" candy. The taste is vapid, the chew is not worth the effort and there is no satisfaction. I guess the Mary Jane company hired a new Vice-President who just had to make changes to a successful product in order to justify his pay. Mary Janes are now just a memory. The Mary Jane company has lost its way and has taken a downward turn for the worse. You can buy Bit-O-Honey candies and be much better off. I hate these new Mary Janes. Yes - hate is the word.

Before Mary Janes were discontinued, the candy I recall was more like a molasses. This is more like peanut butter kisses, as listed. In addition, these are fairly small. I only looked at the picture and not the size, so that's on me. The candy arrived fresh and it is good. Just not the nostalgia I hoped for.

These are not the same as they were years ago. Good but not as good as the old ones. My dentist loves them though... they cost me a crown. :)

We love 💗 this stuff! Only brand that tastes like peanut butter! Have tried other brands, and all we tasted was sugar, icky! These are the best ones that actually taste like peanut butter! Yummy stuff and fresh flavor! We are so very blessed to have found this wonderful place and the price is great 👍 we would have paid more! We thank y’all and God Bless!!

I remember Mary Jane candies as having a soft peanut butter filling. These had barely any taste of peanut butter and were much harder to chew. I can still buy a small bag of Mary Janes when in stock now and then at places like Dollar General. But I figured getting the larger bag was a better value. Won't buy these again because they are definitely nothing like the original Mary Jane candies. Now it makes me wonder if I should even try to buy Bit 'o Honey candies only to find out they aren't the same either.

Fresh & chewy

There should be a no-star option. These are not Mary Janes at all. The texture is wrong they're super soft (not even as chewy as a tootsie roll). There is also no crunchy peanut butter in them. Now I have a whole 2 pounds of garbage.
