Easy and delicious
This kit gives you enough yeast to make 2 growler sizes ( buying 1 gallon of normal apple juice/cider for less than $5 at grocery store) 3 times. That is a lot cheaper than buying that much regular hard cider from a liquor/grocery store so it's worth a try.Made my first batch was made using a store bought apple cider per directions on website. Easy and delicious. It is some work but after doing 3 consecutive batches each one a week apart, we are drinking hard cider every week for over half the price of a 6 pack of (insert brand name here) alcoholic cider.Active yeast refills bought here on Amazon are cheap along with a bottle of the "Star San Sanitizer" (liquid version of what comes in kit).(side note-I found swing top growler bottles from a discount store to use in bottling for $3 each.)

Simple way to start brewing your own cider
I did a lot of research prior to buying this and I will say, it was a worthwhile purchase. All I ended up buying from a local brew store was a rubber stopper because I preferred it to the screw on top they provide and some swing top bottles. I used organic apple juice for round one. I do suggest waiting a little longer than 2 weeks before bottling as I ended up with extra sediment in the bottles, but it was a good, simple cider. I'm glad I purchased this kit.

OK for beginners
The price was what caught my eye. I was really interested in home brewing and didn’t want to invest a ton before I started. It came with enough supplies to make 3 batches and I’m currently on batch #2! My only issue was the instructions, the instructions are on their website and they are not very clear. I spent a lot of time on Google and Reddit to verify info and see if I was missing anything. I will also add that the tubing and cane to siphon the cider from one container to the next is very tricky and am looking into a different tool for my next batch. Overall I still think it’s a great product, could just use a little tweaking.

Great starter kit!
Don't pay attention to the reviews about the instructions. They're right there on the website. It took me 30 seconds to find and print. What is the big deal?? If it keeps the cost down so be it. This kit has everything to do 3 batches of cider except for the juice. I got a gallon at the local orchard and was ready to go. I have my first in process now and it has went perfect. This is the perfect gift also. Boxed and ready to wrap. Don't hesitate, order this!

Wonderful kit for wine or cider.
Great little kit to get started home brewing wine and or cider. All you need to add is the juice and sugar. I brewed my first gallon of wine ever using this kit and made a delicious apple wine. I have now upgraded to 6 bottles and I keep 5 of them going at all times. Well worth the money. These make a great gift for somebody that likes to DIY or just a fun little hobby to work on. I regularly use this kit to make wine that tastes way better than the stuff I can buy at the store for a fraction of the cost.

Cool kit but
There are no instructions included. You have to follow the very vague instructions on the box or go to their website and read them on your phone or computer. Giving 3 starts due to this. It would be so much easier to have paper instructions.

This was a little off fun
This is a great inexpensive kit for anybody who's looking to make their own hard cider it comes with pretty much everything you need for up to three badges. All you need is the cider/ apple juice. And it's only up to three batches because of the amount of yeast and sanitizer but really those are cheap to replace and you can use it countless times. Their website has a ton of information and easy to follow instructions. As well as many other beer making kits

Great fun trying this for the first time
Great fun trying this for the first time. I used store bought cider rather than my own mash and have decided that I should leave it for at least 6 months to see what it tastes like. It was ok at 4 weeks but will be much better after some additional curing. Anxious to try this with my own apples next year at fall harvest. This inspired me to try an IPA mix which is fermenting now. Too much fun!
