Great Product
I received one of these for a birthday a year or so ago and loved it. I enjoyed being able to take it anywhere, outside or in. It was easy to move and a great sound. Sadly, I was not smart and left it outside when it was raining and it ruined it. I was without it for a while. I missed it so much. When I had saved up money and was looking for a replacement system, I was looking at all different speaker systems that were portable like this Logitec and found that this very same system was the only one I wanted. It was so much better quality than iHome systems and the like. So, I replaced my old with a new system that was the exact same.It has amazing sound with the four speakers for surround sound feel. It puts out so much sound for such a little system. I love that it charges my iPod but when it is on battery it does not take up the batteries to charge the iPod, exactly what I was hoping would happen. Super simple to use.The only reason that I put a four star for value of money is because ALL iPod speaker systems like this are more expensive than I think they should be, but it is still a great price comparatively.

Awesome sound, easy to use, and compact!
I bought this for my iPhone 4 so I could listen to music and have a loud alarm for my dorm room, and I LOVE IT! It is so convenient to use, and it also charges my phone at the same time, which is awesome. The dock also comes with different adapters so you can plug different iPods into the speaker, but the iPhone can just be placed right on there. The little remote is also super handy. The sound is really nice and loud for such a compact system, and I really have no complaints. I listen to music all the time in my dorm, and it can get pretty loud. You can also use a cable to plug in other devices and listen to music from there which is nice as well. It's also nice to dock my phone before I go to sleep, that way my alarm, or an incoming call, goes off through the speakers and wakes me up.Like I said, I have no complaints. I live in a small room and this system does not take up more space than necessary, while emitting a pretty awesome sound. I'd definitely recommend it to any student looking for an iPod docking system with a clock and alarm.

Bad deal
Well I liked the product, well what I read of it, and when I got it, it turned on great, my boyfriends iphone fit perfectly and the sound was awesome, for about the first five minutes then it freaked out. This was a used product and I dont appreciate the seller of this ihome telling me that it was just slightly used when it indeed was not usable. Next time, even though others have dubbed this seller very good, I will have to make sure with e-mail because now I have to deal with the pain of sending it back.

Great iPod speaker system
I bought this unit for my iPod Touch 3G and have been very satisfied. I had it out of the box and playing music within seconds. No complicated setup required. It has a remote control that I find handy but wish I could do more with as far as browsing my Touch. From the remote you can adjust volume, start and stop play, turn on shuffle or repeat mode and browse forward and backward (but not up and down). There is a clock and alarm and the snooze is very convenient (push in the volume knob, which is prominent and therefore easy to nail when in a stupor) compared to some of its competitors. The unit looks good enough to have out on a table and it helps to have it out a bit anyway to enhance the sound. Speaking of the sound I was mildly disappointed that it was a bit tinny but I still think a very good quality for this price range. This unit charges your iPod device while in the stand (and on AC power). It can run on batteries but I have not tried this so don't know what the expected life would be. I had looked at a variety of iPod speaker products in prices ranging from $20 up to $200 and feel like this one was perfect for what I was looking for. I have owned several other iPod speakers and this one is my favorite in terms of value. If you don't have to have top-end sound this is a great unit for casual listening and charges your iPod while on AC.

Omnidirectional - Works GREAT!
I purchased this item in January of 2011. Here it is almost a year and a half later and it is still running strong. For me the value for the money is excellent. While reading the reviews I have not seen anyone comment or mention that this system is "omnidirectional". I have this system set up on my kitchen island and it sounds great from anywhere in the room, no matter if you are sitting in front of the unit or behind it. My sister bought a much more expensive unit with all the bells and whistles for her iPhone use and the thing I noticed most about hers is that it is great if you are sitting in front of the unit but as soon as you walk past it the sound quality / volume diminishes greatly. So if you are looking for a unit to sit in the middle of your room and fill it with sound then you should definitely give this a try. You will not be disappointed.

Good, but simple
I got this to not only have an iPod dock but to play my music wherever I needed it. I also like the alarm clock feature, but I normally use my phone too so it wasn't life changing.Pros: I like the sound quality. Overall, it gets loud and doesn't lose the music while doing so. If you were looking for something to compare to a home theater system, you might want to go up a bit in price range. It's simple to use. The remote offers most features and allows you to guide quickly through the current artist or playlist.Cons: Personally, I didn't like that I couldn't hook up my phone to it in the back. I saw the 3.5mm jack and I assumed it was for input, but apparently not. That or mine doesn't work. Either way: sad.The remote is pretty lame. Not much more needs to be said, but the lack of functionality is pretty lame, but in theory, if you were going to really navigate through your entire iPod, you couldn't read it from 30 ft away anyway.Over all, this is a great iPod dock for it's price, but it met expectations. That's it. It certainly didn't exceed in any way, and I'm not telling all my friends about this great new system I got. It just serves its purpose.
