Trader Joe's Next to Godliness Hand Soap (Lavender & Chamomile Hand Soap)

Who would have thought I would get excited about soap ? But this stuff is different . Wonderful smell. Doesn't`t foam a lot. Hands are soft and smooth. Needs to be a body wash

I have used Trader Joe's Hand soap before I purchased this one. And I love it. Will be ordering more in the future.

As another reviewer mentioned, the photo used does NOT represent the product that I received.Because of the false photo, I paid too much for something that I could have picked up at Trader Joes myself.I was under the impression that I was purchasing a discontinued hand soap that many people loved, and now is unavailable at TJ's.

If I had received the product pictured, with the raspberry-colored label, which was originally formulated with botanicals, I would have been delighted.HOWEVER, the manufacturer has replaced the original product (under a different label) with a chemicalized substitute containing: cocamidopropyl betaine, cocamidopropylamine oxide, sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, phenoxyethanol, ppg-4 laureth/myreth-5. These chemicalized ingredients are placed 1st in the list followed by a few botanical ingredients. BUYER BEWARE!Are the listed substitute ingredients cheaper for the manufacturer to purchase? Is this cost-cutting at the consumers expense?The product pictured IS NOT what I received. Is this switch and bait? Whatever the case, it is surely false advertising!

I live in phoenix AZ and always got this hand soap because of the NATURAL ingredients - Natural and plant derived surfactants, Earth salts, Lavender oil, Chamomile oil, tee tree oil, grapefruit seed oil, Tocophherol(vitamin E) and water...that's it! Well last trip to Tj's I went to pick some up and noticed that the bottle looked different...I then was horrified after reading the new ingredients, all chemicals and fragrance. I took it up to the customer service and asked them what had happened to this once natural soap and was told that they had gone with a cheaper vender...SO SAD...I can see why this soap is $15 on amazon and I am wondering if this soap is available at other trader joes in other states. All this to say this soap is wonderful and smells and works great! I would recommend getting while you can if you can still find it for 3.99 in you local tj's!
