I Dare You! Paperback – December 3, 2007

I was awarded this book at my high school graduation. I read the first few pages numerous times, but never really read or studied the book. Although I ran across the book several times during moving and my library clean-ups I still did not read the book. Now at an advanced age I discovered the book again - this time I read it. I shudder to think how much more successful I could have been in my carrer, and my life had I read, studied, and practiced the wisdom provided in this book. Do not be put off by the writing style, the seemingly simple nature of the text, or the fact that it ws written several decades ago. It is a timeless book with rare wisdom that should be used to guide ones life.

I first got this book in 4-H as an award. I have since required it in a class and given it to students as gifts. This book is for those who need a push to succeed and for those on their way to success. I still read mine when I need a mental boost. It is engaging, moves quickly, and motivational.

I did not realize until I read this book that I had used daring to push me on to succeed Going to college I thought I can be a B student and that would be good. Then I started thinking why settle for B's. Let's go for A's. I dare you. Guess what I studied harder, found I really enjoyed learning and I got all A's ! Even in trig and calculus when math was never my forte! I will be using these techniques with my grandson and others!

This book will challenge anyone that wants to live beyond mediocrity to dare to live up to your fullest potential. The author had a great way of expressing God's Word into practical everyday living. Great read!

Fortunate are we if as teachers we can put the “Dare” spark into the formative lives of youth.»This is one thought at the end of the book.Another said that this book has a deep RIPPLE EFFECT in thousands, maybe millions, of lives.I dare you to read it and apply its principles of not only your life but also share them in the lives of people that would be crossing your path in life.

I read this book when I was a kid and completely forgotten about it until having a conversation with my daughter recently. So I decided to look it up. It stirred my heart then, and it started my heart now. The bottom line is i walked away inspired to act on great thingS that have been tucked away for too long inside me. Some will dismiss this book because the language is a bit archaic. Or the illustration and stories won’t be as political correct as they would like because it was written in the 30’s. That will be their loss. I hope people will read and take to heart a dare that pushes them to greatness.

Old school thinking still applies to today’s world. Some of what he says is horrifically dated which actually adds to the charm of the book, but the vast majority is excellent content that shows successful thinking it’s truly ageless. I learned a lot of helpful pointers from the book and plan adding it to my yearly cycle of books to be re read.

I enjoyed rereading this superb book of self development by William Danforth founder of Ralston Purina. Great storytelling skills. Classic book on self development and motion. Easy to read book and very interesting and insightful and very useful for everyone wanting to grow. I recommend this book without qualifications for everyone!

A really great book with valuable information. And even though it appears to have been written during the Depression years, it's still very relevant today. The reason for 3 stars is because the eBook format fails to give you everything shown in the printed version. All the illustrations the author included are missing, and because they are missing some of the text appears a bit haphazard and confusing. It might be cheap at 59p, but what good is cheap if chunks of information are missing. Needless to say, because it's well worth the read, I've ordered a hard copy of this book instead.

If you want to live a daring life ,don't miss this book. Dare to revise it often.More importantly ,put your learnings in practice!

Extremely wonderful book and highly thought provoking. Go for it though little costly when compared to its size.
