KUNDIP Voltage Converter 220V to 110V Step Down 1000 Watts Electronic Universal Socket Adaptor (Grey)

My portable drill (Ryobi), with 12V Battery has a charger (C120D) operating on 120V. I purchased 2 Kundip stepdown transformers (K-77/1000W) from Amazon, 2 weeks back. Yesterday, when I connected the input pin of my Ryobi battery charger to the 120V socket of Kundip K 77 converter, there was a blast in my charger and smoke came out. My charger (costing US$ 45) is completely damaged. When I wrote to M/s JBS they replied: "(K-77) is electronic converter, can be used for maximum 10 mins and is recommended for low wattage products of 1W to 18W. However Amazon website describes that it is a rated at 1000 Watt and can be used for 15 to 20 minutes! I need to file a case in consumer court against JBS and Amazon for misleading customers.

My device burned . Voltage was incorrect. I haven't checked believing seller . My hair straightener burned in seconds,,😠😞

Good product. Even though the description says not suitable for electronic items, i used it for cordless phone and did not find any problem.

Have been using this as a 220 to 110 volt converter for 3-4 years. Stable output at 110.

Not reliable. They sent non working item. Returned the same day.

Worst with in three month the step down converter is out of order don’t buy it is waste of money.

Useless product. 1000W power rating for this crap itself is a scam.
