Clever little accessory
These ABSOLUTELY make a HUGE difference. They really help hold the peg board accessories in place . Easy to install by pushing them in and easy to move by just pulling them back out and reinstalling . There are some unbranded versions for less money but if I'm hanging tools I want to know they're not going to fall and these locks give me that peace of mind .

Must have if you have a metal pegboard.
I had no idea these existed. These are a must for a metal peg board especially if you have 1/8" tool holders. Saves you from buying all new tool holders. Night and day difference in holder stability. They actually stay in the pegboard now. Will definitely buy again. Worth the money for high quality product. Great job Pegitz!

Lock in holes well but don't grip the hooks - read review for solution
Update: I did not notice that there are two versions of this product, one for 1/4" hooks and one for 1/8" hooks. What I started with were the inserts for the 1/4" hooks. I just tried the 1/8" hook inserts and they lock my hooks very well. So I have abandoned the solution below and am simply using two of the 1/8" hook inserts now. I do notice that the 1/8" version doesn't lock in the holes quite as well, but they still seem like the best solution. First, I am using these with hardboard pegboard with 1/4" holes. If that's not you, then this may not be relevant. I have struggled with the straps that go across the hooks and several variations of these locking inserts, until now unable to find something that worked for me. First, these are easy to insert AND remove, zero issues there. These lock into the hole very well. But the issue is that they don't grip the hooks tightly, the hole for the hook is too large in diameter. So I still had movement when I lifted items off/out of the hooks. I found a solution to this by combining this product with "Meneone Pegboard Hook Locks, for Stopping Hooks from Falling Off, 120PCS, Black" (ASIN B0C3ZXZ48F). I was just about to return those and this product and then had an idea. The Meneone inserts grab the hooks very tightly, but they don't stay in the holes. In fact if you remove the hook, the Meneone insert comes out along with it. So I used one of each insert on my hooks, in both the case where the hooks use two vertical holes or use two horizontal holes. Now I had the best of both worlds, this insert prevented the hooks/inserts from coming out of the holes while the Meneone insert prevented the hook from sliding in and out of the inserts. Crazy as it sounds, my hooks and now nice and solid and I don't feel like any are going to jump out when I remove an item. If you happen to have hooks with only a single leg that inserts into the pegboard, I don't believe you will be happy with this or the Meneone product - go buy different hooks. These solution does cause the hooks to stick out a VERY small amount off the pegboard. I did not find that to be any issue at all nor did I find it causing my hooks to point upwards as others have mentioned with these insert solutions.

They work! Hooks stay in place now!
These actually work very well. I was able to insert two prong attachments and even single prong attachments and they stay put! Great product!

Amazingly good!
These little wonders are game changers. I have a metal pegboard, so, it has zero grip on uncoated metal hooks... they just want to bounce around and pull out with just the slightest bit of jostle. These Pegitz solve that problem effortlessly. I was concerned that they'd be difficult to remove if I wanted to reconfigure, but they come out super easy. It's a stiff rubbery material but it's soft enough to pinch and pull out to remove it - it won't come out on its own, but it's easy to remove. The grip on the hooks is fantastic, you do have to give it some oomph to insert the hook fully, but once it's in there, it doesn't want to move at all. I honestly went with a metal pegboard because I figured I'd be using magnetic hooks for most stuff because regular hooks won't stay put, but these are so easy to use and work awesome. I didn't want to use the other style hard plastic pegboard clips because they tie up the adjacent holes and they're kind of fiddly.

Moderately Effective
These are not as effective as I had hoped. The concept is sound, as in attemptig to address the problem of standard pegboard hooks from so easily falling out, and while said problem is better than if using no sort of hook anchor at all, these fall short of a truly elegant solution. Essentially, all these do is create a slightly smaller hole through which to place the hooks, while adding some added friction in the way of a rubber grommet around the hook shaft. Once inserted, the hooks don't sit flat against the pegboard any more. That's because the bend in the hook where it goes into the bord is not a 90 degree angle. Because there is no cutout in these grommets to account for that, the hooks all now tilt upwards. What that then makes these anchors explicitly fail to do is keep the hook from rotating upwards as you remove something that might catch on the hook. For example, if you have something small like a 6mm wrench hanging on a hook and you lift it off in such a way or on such an angle that the edge of the opening rubs along the hook as you remove it, the hook flips up and comes out of this retainer. You are now right back where you started before you used these in the first place. If you are very careful when removing small-holed items from the hook, or don't grab something off the hook in a hurry if it has a larger hole (e.g. a 13mm wrench) these will work OK, but the whole point is not to have to worry about delicately removing anything so as not to rub or catch the item on the hook on the way upwards. I found a way to integrate small zip ties into this design and make them work better than they possibly can on their own, foolproof even, but I wouldn't buy these again, as I don't want to have to spend the time to modify them to do what they should do more effectively in the first place. For $10 they were a cheap experiment, but it just made me realize that much more that if you already have a ton of those standard pegboard hooks in use, spend the extra money and get some really good anchors for them.

Initially, I only bought the peg locks for 1/8" hooks thinking that my 1/4" hooks were stable enough in my 1/4" board. But I once I got used to how well these locks worked, I knew I'd want them on all my hooks. It's a great product and excellent value considering the amount of aggravation it prevents. It would be great if they came in grey, but black works well enough on galvanized steel. The only improvement I'd make is to redesign the packaging so that it was much easier to distinguish between the 1/8" and 1/4" sizes.

My hooks would go flying everywhere nearly every time I took my scissors off before I got these peg locks! In the video I tried to take the hook off using my scissors to show how good the locks are, one of the hooks has the lock and the other doesn’t. I also love that they are white and match with my pegboard. One suggestion I have for people who are setting up their pegboard for the first time is to put all the hooks on the board and make sure everything is exactly where you want it before adding the locks because they're a bit tricky to get off. I lifted the paint a bit in a few spots trying to take these off.

I managed to get plugs into the ¼ inch holes but with great difficulty. They didn't go in easily; however, they don't come out easily either. For someone my age (78) there was not enough strength in the fingers to force them in so I had to widen each hole I used just a fraction and I used a small screwdriver to help me push the locking blocks in.
