Fondant for Cake Decorating, Purple (2 Pound)

I am not a fan of fondant, but this one was very easy to manipulate and maneuver. Like with any fondant the taste wasn’t great but the colors are vibrant.

Satin Ice is the best fondant around. I've been using Satin Ice for 5 years now on all of my cakes my cakes. It is nice and smooth, soft and pliable. It doesn't require much kneading. The amount of kneading time is considerably less. It's a little more sticky than other types of fondant but you can keep it from sticking to your hands by rubbing some crisco on your hands before working with the fondant. It rolls out easily on the mat, but be warned you really need to sprinkle on the powdered sugar before you try to roll it onto your roller to put it on the cake. I live in a very humid environment and this fondant works well. I love that I can order my most common colors and not have to worry about then dies affecting the texture of my fondant. I have been purchasing my fondant at a local bakery store, but when they did not have the product in stock I checked and found it on Amazon. To my surprise it was much cheaper than what I have been paying, so I will be ordering from now own. It's exactly what I would have picked up at the store

This was really easy to work with, the color was great, for decorating the cake it was perfect. Smells and tastes kind of like play dough. Everyone loved the cake, but didn’t eat the fondant.

This fondant is very easy to work with, much more so than Wilton. It also tastes a million times better. The fondant had a very strong vanilla smell, almost like vanilla tootsie rolls. It's actually kind of nice! Colors are intense.

This fondant is terrible. Cracked so easily and didn’t look good at all. I should have read the other reviews first. Such a waste of money.

I use this to decorate the tops my cupcakes with cute flowers, stars and other shapes. The color is great and the size is perfect for me as I don't use a lot at a time. Easy to work with and roll out. It tastes way better than other fondants!

I bought this fondant to use for a friend's 40th birthday cake, the color was deep beautiful purple, but when I went to roll it out it was sticky and not stretchy at all it wouldn't roll out so that I could put it on a cake. So hard to work with. I threw it away and had to run to the store and get my usual Wilton fondant.
