I bought this to go on my patio near the house, so I could sit and have a cuppa in the morning. I didn't want to take up too much space and didn't want the traditional bench. The beauty of this seat is that the table is detachable so you can use the chairs separately or linked (using the table). There is enough space on the table to place 2 mugs and a plate, and the chairs are wide enough to comfortably sit and not feel squashed (others are narrower and felt a bit tight).The wood is really chunky and solid making it feel very sturdy and will resist the wind. With the wood used, it comes in a reddish colour but I believe this will fade and weather to a silver colour as time goes by. However the red colour blends perfectly with the sleeper raised flowerbed I have.The other thing I love about this seat is the shape of the seats, the bottom and back of the chair is curved so it moulds to your bottom and back. As a result I can sit comfortably for ages without my bottom or back hurting.The chairs do come flat packed, but it is only bolts that need to be fitted. The holes are all predrilled and it is very obvious how it goes together, and I was able to do it on my own (40 year old, independent woman :) ). All you need is a spanner!
