Perfectly Simple
I was able to simply slide this into my SFP+ router, connect up my Cat6a cable between it and my 10GB Modem, and BOOM!

Hot but solid.
Have a US-XG-16 and was having issues with the 10G RJ45 port kept disconnecting to my pc with a ASUS XG-C100C 10G RJ45 card and 100ft cat7 cable. This is a known issue on this switch from Ubiquiti that the RJ45 ports will disconnect randomly when running at 10G. I had no issues on my SFP+ ports so I bought this to use a SFP+ port for my pc. Plugged it in and connected right away at full speed. Have been running it solid for 2 weeks and not 1 drop. It has fixed my issue.Only thing to consider is it does run hot. And I mean hot, however it hasn't affected performance. I must do the same as another poster and add a fan to help, however no issues so far.

Not compatible with QNAP devices
Some of these Cisco transceivers are compatible with more than just Cisco devices; this one does not seem to be. It works great in my Cisco switch, but I needed a transceiver for a QNAP switch. If you have a Cisco device, this should do the job perfectly, but I wound up purchasing a Transceiver from HiFiber for my needs.

Works out of the box... Hot!!!
The item worked right out of the box, no issues during setup. However, it runs really hot. I was getting network errors when transfering my old server data (~37TB) to my new server and I wasn't sure if it was the old server, new server, or this devices.I ended up putting a USB fan blowing on the SFP+ ports of my switch. This cooled it down a lot. All of the data finished shortly after so I'm not sure if that is enough data to suggest this overheats.During normal use of the server there is not typically sustained high transfer rates.i would buy again because it saves me from buying a 10G Ethernet switch for now.

Works as advertised from what I can tell.
Using it between a qnap 451be with the addon10g/dual ssd card and an arista 24port 10gbe l3 switch over a 1m cat7 cable. The sfp has worked as advertised as far as I can tell. Unfortunately the nas can't saturated the link for a proper test, but I have no indications there is a limitation with the sfp. I would absolutely buy again if forced to use 10g-tp interconnect to devices (typically use dac and mm-fiber).

Arista + Broadcom Compatible
Tested using my Arisa 7124SX switch and a broadcom 2-port 57810S SFP+ NIC, linked up at 10Gbps. No actual throughput testing was performed aside from a quick file transfer that did hit 2+gbps, but no such iperf for saturation. The transceivers do run warm ~100F so I would suggest active cooling and spacing them in your switch.

Exactly what we needed
We are connecting our Dell server with a 10GB copper interface to a Juniper switch. This transceiver worked with the Juniper switch and meets our needs. We are doing a series of performance testing with the server and so far, this transceiver works as expected.
