Great 4 slice toaster
Love my new toaster. It looks great in the kitchen. Easy to clean slide out crumb trays. Setting for frozen bread and a dial for increasing or decreasing browning. Can lift during toasting to check on brownness and drop back again. Nice wide slots good for uncut bread, ie sourdough etc. use the left hand slots if only need 2 slices. I bought the matching kettle too.

Great toaster
Good robust toaster that performs well. It’s fairly wide so will fit thick toasty bread easily and hot cross buns etc. You have to use the left hand side first and the right won’t depress without the first two slots (left) being used. I guess over time this might lead to the elements in the left deteriorating before the right and then not being able to use the right it will be useless , for that reason I have dropped a star. All the rest is great warming/defrosting functions work perfectly and the temp control is also accurate.

This toaster isn’t fit for purpose!
I bought this Russell Hobbs toaster with the matching kettle as I liked the design and the cream colour. However, after just over 30 days the left hand trigger, which is used to start the toasting process, broke off in my hand, rendering the whole toaster completely useless. The right hand trigger can’t function without the left hand one also being in use. The triggers are not made of strong metal, but just plastic! Not even up to the job of use for myself and my husband, let alone for a large family! I contacted the Manufacturer Customer Support, but they refused to honour the warranty and told me to contact Amazon. However, Amazon only offer returns and refunds up to 30 days after purchase. I now find myself in limbo, with neither the manufacturer nor retailer offering any constructive help as yet.Any help would be most appreciated. I buy a lot of things on Amazon, this is the first time I have been in this situation. I’m disgusted with Russell Hobbs, I always thought they were a good company that would support their customers. Do not buy this toaster!
