The best Madagascar Vanilla beans (Grade A)
I have bought Tahitian, Mexican, Madagascar, and various other grade A Vanilla beans over the years. I have bought Organic Vanilla Paste, Organic Vanilla Extract, etc. I have made extracts out of all of the beans and several different alcohols. The one I liked the least was the Mexican bean in bourbon. That seemed to be the one everyone else loved, but it wasn't the one I knew. I knew Madagascar in Vodka. Still, it seemed off. What I fell in love with was Madagascar in bourbon. I let it sit in a brown bottle, shaking it often, for about a year actually, and the color was beautiful. The taste was rich and layered. Of course, when you bake it into your goods, it bakes out the alcohol but leaves that traditional Madagascar flavor with so much more depth. After straining out the remaining beans/seeds, I poured the vanilla back into a new brown bottle with two fresh beans with the ends cut off and placed it in a dark cabinet. The beans are grade A; I find it worth the money to get grade A beans only. They last longer, are plump and easy to work with, and hold up much better during the extraction process. I've never actually tried to store them outside of alcohol. I buy the amount I need, fresh, when I'm ready to start more batches of vanilla. I like buying the old-fashioned type of brown, 12 oz beer bottles they have here on Amazon, with the flip over ceramic type lid. I use about 8-10 vanilla beans per 12 oz bourbon. Just slice the beans down the length of the whole bean before putting them in the bottle. The bottles need gently shaken every now and then and should sit for at least 3 months before use, but the longer it sits, the more depth of flavor your vanilla will have. These vanilla beans store extremely well in bourbon.

Qood quality and great value
Smells and tastes wonderful! I bought these specifically to start some vanilla extract as holiday gifts, but have also used one to ad to a jar of jug at to make vanilla sugar- heavenly! And another I a couple canning recipes this summer.. the paste in a jam recipe and the pod simmered in a syrup recipe.. probably could have used a smaller piece in the syrup and saved the rest for other recipes. I’m not super familiar or deeply research, but these seem like good quality for a great price. I had them waiting in my cart “saved for later” when I noticed they were a prime day deal!

Love my beans
Love my beans. 3rd package i have bought. They are not as strong as some others I have bought but the affordability is there. Making my vanilla extract takes a little longer which is ok.

Oh yeah! This is the vanilla bean to buy!
I am making homemade vanilla extract. I use two types of vanilla, both are organic. This bean is superior to any other. Super fresh and fragrant. I cut them in half, split them, and added to good vodka for the best extract. In a few months it c will be ready to use for any extract recipe. I know it will be the best extract. The fake extract in stores is a chemical concoction. It’s not healthy. Make your own. Enjoy the robust flavor and aroma. Get some today. Forget the junk sold at stores.

Good for Vanilla Extract
Used these vanilla beans to make homemade extract, and they were awesome. Super fragrant right out of the package and felt really fresh and oily—not dry like some others I’ve tried. They were plump and easy to split, and the flavor is already coming through strong in the extract. Definitely a good pick if you're into baking or DIY extracts.
