Perfect sound
Other reviews state the exhaust is too quiet. I found with the addition of the x pipe from Borla it sounds great. I have a Cayman 4.0 and a GTR both with aftermarket exhausts. Corvette sounds equally as good.

easy install and great sound
This system was very easy to install and was exactly the sound I was looking for. I have the base model 2000 C5 with stock manifolds and H-pipe, this system compliments this setup with nothing else needed. I only have quick jacks (great product also for Vettes) so I couldn't get the car high enough to get the stock mufflers off without cutting the over the axle pipes. The new Borla system went on and went together with no issues at all. Just pay attention to a few steps that are not listed in the instructions. Very simple and easy to do if you pay attention. VERY SATISFIED with this system and both the look and the sound!

Good sound.
Nice sound and no drone at highway speeds. These are axle back not cat back. No x pipe.

Awesome product, easy install. It requires a lift.
Install required the car to be on a lift, I could not manipulate the stock Z06 exhaust out on the jack. It required nearly 3 feet of clearance to angle the exhaust straight down to get the flange side out from above the axle. Install was easy on the lift. Took some tweaking to get the tips all symmetric. SOUND is mellow. Nice low roar. I was expecting much more aggressive, louder sound based off Borla, aggressive sound meter. No drone and not annoying at all. This is how the car should have sounded from Chevrolet.

American made
Borla is An American made product. I have had negative experiences with offshore products and will only use made in USA on my c5 corvette. Borla is top quality. They sound great with no annoying droning at cruise speeds.

They look great.
Fairly easy to install once the vehicle is off the ground. They are louder than OEM but they don’t really have the sound I was looking for. I wanted more of a deep and distinctive sound rather than a bunched together noise. Of course I am a little older. I put them on my 2004 Corvette with the 350 engine. I liked the sound I got out of my 66 Chev Impala SS with the 327 and glass packs. So there you go.

Amazing sound that's not obnoxious & no drone
All I can say is WOW. This really woke up my 01 C5 from the stock exhaust. I combined this with the borla x-pipe and man does this make the car sound so good. Well worth the price. Had a shop install everything since I don't have the tools to do it myself. I debated going with the dual tips vs the quad, but I didn't want to ruin the look too much so I pulled the trigger on these instead and don't regret it one bit. Gets nice and loud when getting on it and has some slight but quiet rumble on idle or cruising at highway speeds, so the best of both worlds!
