Conair Complete Care Protective Door Press Pad, Helps Protect Surfaces While Garment Steaming

I needed a heat resistant mat to steam clothes on a pantry door. Although this mat is a few inches too short for men's shirts, I gave it five stars because I easily made a modification so it works perfectly. Instead of using the attached hook, I use an over-the-door wreath hook to hold the shirts and adjust the height of the mat to fit the shirt. It would definitely be nicer if the door protector was longer, but it is certainly easy to use and modify.

I like that I can hang a garment on the back of the door and not worry about damaging the door or burning my. Assembled easily, but I read that some struggled with setting it up so I attached pics with easy instructions.The bar and hook are not super sturdy, but adequate. The garment hangs on the hook a little lower than I would like. but the gap at the top protects the wood from rising steam.A women’s large shirt hangs well below the bottom of the pad, but rather than hunching over to do the bottom so I just pull the fabric tight and don’t need to push against the pad. I don’t think I could find a longer pad online.I also bought the matching hand mitt and really like it and use it most of the time, especially for tougher wrinkles that need pressure from my steamer/iron and for contoured areas.The straps could be a little shorter and would bring the pad up higher on the door. I adjusted them as short as possible, but my door doesn’t close as easily with the straps in the jamb anyway so I think I’ll consider cutting and shortening the straps and using Command Strips to attach it to the door.Overall it works fine and I don’t have any big complaints.

Without the review of the purchaser showing photos I would have returned this item. No instructions to place bar unto cloth.. Also the "drop" of the bands to place on the door edges is too long and not adjustable which is a negative..I added door clothes hangers to use with the bands and shortened them. Called CONAIR for instructions and they advised to return it to Amazon.

Good product for great price,made of good quality material,definitely keeps the steam from going through,serves it’s purpose and has the soft adjustable straps to hang on door,easy set up. Overall the product’s performance is 5 star worthy!

Helps to stem clothes easier

This pad has great performance, weights next to nothing and very durable. It makes using my steamer so easy and cuts half the time ironing. Best thing ever.Love it
