Multi purpose light or pen
Great product. Simple in design with useful features. The light has been the most used feature followed by the pen. I’d rate the item a 10 if the other portion would secure like a pen cap when using the pen.

Great pen and useful
Good quality for the price. The pen is extremely versatile and made to be very durable. I do not find the pen to be too heavy, the weight is good. The only drawback is that in order to make the pen safe to carry in your bag, purse or pocket is that you need to remove the screwdriver and then flip the defense tip inside the barrel. So, if you need to use it in an emergency, you’ll need to unscrew the defense tip and flip it back out. It seems like there should be a simple cap or cover for the tip so it doesn’t injure you. Also, the ballpoint pen writes very nice but it does not attach while using the ink pen. Overall, it’s nice, affordable and you can make do with it, but it would be nice if there was a cap to cover the defense tip and the ink pen could simply screw on to the top while writing. Update: I found an eraser cap to temporarily cover the defense tip while in my bag.

Second satisfied purchase
I was so happy with the one I bought in the autumn that I bought a second! The pen works great. The weight and feel in my hand are perfect. Fits in the pen holder on my phone case nicely. And best, it’s durable. I’ve used the flashlight a couple times, the pen almost daily, and the little screwdriver deal a couple times. Thankfully, I haven’t needed to smash a window, but I feel confident that if I needed to, I could.

Fatal flaw: Not sure why the batteries for the light keep dying.
It’s a pretty cool little gadget for the price and I like how it comes with extra batteries and ink. For some reason though, any batteries that are stored in it go dead without using the light. I turned the batteries around when carrying the pen, so I don’t accidentally activate the light when it’s being stored when carrying it. Apparently, this kills brand new batteries rendering them useless. Maybe I missed something in science, but I figured if the batteries are facing the wrong way and not providing power to the light to make it glow, then it wouldn’t be draining them. This technique worked with other flashlights. When I put new batteries in, the light works fine. However, if I keep them in it they’ll go dead without using the light at all. For the one I carry in my wallet, I not only turned the batteries around, I put a piece of cardboard on the top of the battery stack to prevent them from touching the metal spring on the top. I flipped the batteries around, removed the cardboard, and checked the light after some time went by. The light is significantly more dim than it was when I put the new batteries in initially. So it still drains the batteries somehow. I haven’t tried having the batteries facing the correct way to make the light work and then putting some kind of block (like the piece of cardboard on top of the batteries) to prevent accidental activation. Maybe that would be the solution. I bought a new pack of batteries and burned through most of them, before realizing this fatal flaw. I wasn’t planning on using the flashlight as a primary light. I was going to use it as more of a backup. Having the backup light not work, can cause a significant problem. So it is always good to check and maintain your gear. I’ll update this review if I find storing the batteries the correct way with some kind of block that prevents accidental activation saves the batteries. Until then, I can’t recommend keeping the batteries in the light.

Nice gadget
My husband is a big kid when it comes to things like this. For him this is a great tool and gadget. He loved the fact that it's a 6 in 1 tactical pen (one being the pen). Pretty durable and handy. Nice design and you can take it anywhere or just leave it in the car, garage, office, shed or just carry it with you in the pockets anywhere.
