I’ve never left an Amazon review in my life, but these things are truly awesome. The included instructions are a little confusing, which makes the install seem more complex than it really is. I have a 2021 JLU, 80th Anniversary, and I got the 2-piece version of this product. I installed them by myself (easily) on my lunch break. I can only speak to the 2021 wrangler, but I can confirm that you do NOT need to loosen your windshield bolts, and you can still put your soft top up/down with the sunshades installed (sun rider position and full windows off mode). My recommendation: start with the 4 front bungees (I used the folded paper included in the package). Note: the sunshade with the straight edge and 90 degree corners is the front. Then I’d attach the rear portion of the FRONT shade, followed by the left and right sides. Then just repeat with the back shade if you have a 4 door. Once you get those front 4 bungees in place, everything else is remarkably simple. The directions will indicate which bungees to use for each attachment, which is all you really need. All of the bungees will be super tight, but just stretch them as far as you can before wrapping them around the roll bar, etc… if the bungees seem too tight, you’re using the wrong bungee or you’re not stretching it enough before wrapping around the roll bar.I was amazed at how much these reduce the wind inside the Jeep with the top down. My girlfriend used to have to wear a hat or tie her hair up. With the sunshades on, it feels more like you just have your windows slightly cracked. I got the tan color because the neon colors aren’t as appealing to me personally. The color is true to the product images. Don’t put much weight on the customer reviews w/ pictures (because the shades are porous, it’s almost impossible to take a picture that accurately shows the color). You will see the shade in your peripheral vision while driving, so choose your color accordingly. Hidden benefit: these things really transform your interior even when you’re not in convertible mode. You’re basically changing the color of the inside of the roof.Lastly, these will reduce your headroom for sure. I’m 6 foot, and the reduced headroom is not a problem at all. The shade will sit at about the same height as the TOP of your roll bar.Any negative reviews were likely posted by someone who is not installing it correctly, or expected this to be a weatherproof/soundproof sun shade…. If you buy this with the expectation that it will serve the same function as a roof, you’re just being silly.

Needed a new shade for my jeep as the old one had been misplaced after being taken down. However, this one is way better quality. This and gives great coverage. Easy to install and it even came with an extra little holder to go over the bar in front of the passenger side. You can easily put your phone in there.

I would give a 4 star only because of how incredibly inconvenient and more difficult it is to get the hard top back on and off but it’s my bad for not thinking of that before I bought it. I would normally unlock my hinges easily now I have to maneuver my hands just right to get to them Bc the shade is in the way. It’s tights and if you have big hands I could see it being even more of an issue. I would lift the top up from the inside and sort of push -slide it past to get it off the jeep. Now I can’t do that at all. Surprise 🫣🤷🏼‍♀️🤦‍♀️the shade is in the way. Duh. Honestly duh. But anyway the color is beautiful. The quality and style is great. Helps with the sound of wind. I bought it Bc I have leather black seats and they can get REAL HOT. It absolutely helps in that regard. Overall great product

This is my third Jeep, second JLU. My first JLU was a Sport S with premium soft top. It was easy to put the top down and up, but was noisy and didn't offer much insulation from heat and cold and noise. My next JLU was a '23 Rubicon 4xe with the hard top.Once weather improved and we had at least a week of sun, off the doors and top went. Unlike my soft top, I didn't have an alternative to block out the sun once I took of the hard top and freedom panels (on the soft top model, the top can be left up with the side rear quarter windows and rear window removed to give open air driving with a solid "Safari Top."I knew I wanted a bikini top, like the factory Safari Top option, but with a see through mesh to let in light without the UV rays.But which one to choose with the best price and features?I was familiar with Shadeidea. I bought their soft tonneau cover for the back of my 2018 JLU. Even at 4 years old, it's still going strong, so I was comfortable with this brand of bikini top. Plus, the light blue color, which matched with the Mopar electric blue trim on my Rubicon 4xe, was on sale, so I figured I'd give it a try.Installation was fairly self explanatory. Do the 4 corners first, followed by the windshield, then the rear quarters then alternate the sides and you're done. The whole install was roughly 5 minutes or so. Just make sure to align the rectangular openings with the roof mounting points on the sport bar. The logo goes on the back sport bar cross member of the Jeep, not the windshield.I got the one piece shade due to the price, and I regret it now. Not that it doesn't work or that the price wasn't fair, but that I can't leave it on and reinstall the front freedom panels. The rear section can easily fit over the bikini top, but the front portion blocks all the latches. If you can reach and get your arm through, you'll still have to remove the side bungee's from the front portion.So, for summertime fun in the sun, the one piece bikini top shade for the JLU by Shadeidea is a good option that lets in the sun, but blocks out harmful rays. If you want to leave the shade in place with the top on, get the two piece. If you want to save some $$, get the one piece.

Very impressed and high quality. The paper strap used for feeding the bungies between the front windscreen is folded in half and if you try to use it this way it wont work (difficult). Recommend folding over only 5cm of the end and feed the long part between the windscreen 1st. When you get to the folded part just guide it in. It will stay folded over until it comes out the other side.
