good little boat
Have only used once but boat was very fun and appears to work very well. Rudder turns less one direction than the the other but I believe this is by design, saw in a youtube video someone mentioned that lots of the RC boats do this, has something to do with racing. In any case boat works fine, is as fast as advertised I think and fun to jump over small waves. My son and I checked for water inside hull many times throughout an hour of playing and not a drop got into the main compartment, and this was with several capsizes. Batteries don't last too long, but I think this is the case with most RC boats if you start reading their specs. I would say get some extra batteries and charge them all before you go out, maybe bring charger with if there's power where you're headed. This is probably a good starter RC boat because fast enough to be really fun, but not so fast that it's hard to control. Good for a kid.

Fun for kids and adults
This RC boat is really cool. Very easy to drive even my 5 year old nephew could do it. Easy to open and close, swap batteries, and control. The low battery indicator is great and the fact that it rights itself if flipped upside down. Comes with an extra battery too. We brought it to the beach and both children and adults had a lot of fun with it. High quality toy that’s tons of fun!

Solid performer
Speedy boat and easy enough for a ten year old to master the controls in a few minutes. Battery life better than most too.

Easy to use and a big hit with the kids
Took my kids to a lake on Tuesday afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to navigate. The controls were easy enough for someone like me, who isn't 'tech savvy' as well as my 9 yr old and 7 yr old to begin driving the boat and I have to say, it was quite a hit. I earned lots of brownie points with my kids and can't wait to go back again. The boat also features an alarm when it starts getting too far out or when the battery starts getting low so you don't have to be concerned that it will get stuck in middle of the water. The boat comes with 2 rechargeable batteries and the battery life is pretty solid.I was definitely skeptical at first, but I would highly recommend this boat and you will have plenty of fun.

Works great till it doesn't
I have have two of these. The good... they are easy to operate, are fun, fast, and it comes with 2 batteries. My dogs love chasing it around the pool. The bad... I have had the same problems with both boats. 1st problem is that 1 of the 2 batteries wouldn't charge after a couple of weeks. 2nd problem is that the motor just stopped working at about the 30 day mark. It was a little under 30 days with the first boat and a little longer for the second boat. Luckily, I got the extended warranty for the second boat and had no issues getting refunds for either one. I used the boats quite often and I am no expert on remote control toys. I really have no idea how long a motor should last. But I would highly suggest getting the extended warranty for this.

Rudder off center. Leaks horribly.
We took this boat out to the lake on Christmas day. The boat would turn left, but not right. The rudder was off center. When we got home I took off the cover and checked things out. I took off the cover and noticed some water inside it. Strange. I dried everything out with our heater vents and a hair dryer set on low a distance away from the boat. I figured out how to remove the rudder and put the pin in a different set of holes. This was not in the directions. I put the boat back together, filled the sink with water and checked to rudder to see if it would turn left and right the same amount. Looked good. Then I noticed the boat had filled with water. FROM JUST SITTING IN THE SINK. I dried it out again. Put it in the sink full of water and it leaked again. I think this boat might be junk. I will return it, and see if I just got a bad one. I am very suspicious as of now.

Awesome boat. you just gotta buy it!
We recently purchased a home across from our development's retention pond. We have 3 teen boys (13, 15, 19) and my hubby and boys thought it would be super fun to get remote control boats for the pond. Bought these and they LOVE them! They go pretty darn fast and it is hard to flip them. I should mention using these devices are simple. My sons do not have any other remote controlled device and do just fine. Make sure to read manual because it does explain a lot in there and what to do in certain situations!

Easy to use and fast
This boat is amazing! I got it for my son because he loves remote toys and thought it would be a perfect addition to our pool. I was right! He loves it and it was so easy for him to figure out. That little boat is so fast too! We couldn't believe how fast it went across the pool. We are going to test it on the lake sometime to really open it up. I was hesitant about the price but it's worth it. My son crashes it into the side of the pool a lot and it is holding strong. I was worried we'd get one use out of it before he broke it but it's very sturdy.
