Q: Does this jug come with a straw as the water spills out when u try to drink from the spout?

This does not include a straw since it has a wide opening making it ideal for other uses. It's primary use is not as a water bottle. Hope this helps. Thanks

There is a retractable spout in the lid which can be locked in place when pouring or drinking liquids.

Q: can a straw be adapted to the spout as it leaks when drinking

A straw with a flexible top could be inserted into the small opening in the lid to facilitate drinking.
