ACDelco GM Genuine Parts D528A Door Lock Cylinder with Key Gold

Great buy and easy to install, if you know what youre doing.

So I bought an old Chevy truck and it did not have any door keys. I purchased these cylinders with new door handles and it works great! I can finally unlock the truck and my power door locks even work after liberal amounts of lube.These and the door handles and pretty much anything inside a car door is a difficult install, you work blind at weird angles with weird tools to get to things. Go slow and document along the way and you will be ok.

Ordered a set of Amazon door handle with new lock cylinders and boy did those lock cylinders fail quick. Would not stay in place and broke quick. These lock cylinders have been great!

Fits and functions as it should. Install was a little bit more than expected, but overall good product.

Okay so I'm just going to clear some things up that were mentioned in some of the one and two star reviews. These are good locks, yes they might be a little loose in the hole depending on whether you are using these in aftermarket handles or not (remember the handle might be the reason its loose, not the cylinder), if its loose, just place about 3 or so layers of electrical tape around it and it snugs up beautifully. Some others have said that they don't fit, they absolutely do. What they mean to say is that the aftermarket handle they are using has a reversed lock cylinder port. I know this because this happened to me. I was about to throw these locks away until I compared my handle to the OE handle and realized that mine is made wrong and was forcing me to put the cylinder in upside down. As you can see in the picture, the hole where the lock goes has a cut out facing the spring for the cylinder to lock in place on the OE handle (black one) while the aftermarket Dorman chrome handle has the cutout facing the bottom, preventing the lock from installing correctly. I may just put the lock in the chrome one the right way and JB weld it in place since it won't have a cutout for the clip to grab onto. I hope this helps!

Better build quality than other cheap locks on the market. They work like a charm on my truck.

I bought several different other aftermarket brands in an attempt to change my outer lock cylinders on my 98 Chevy Silverado pickup. They fell apart before I could slide them into the handle assembly. These are made so much better. But the bodies aren't gold like the picture or the description. So I returned them and tried again, thinking I got a return. But the second set of lock cylinders came and look good. Just not like described. They also have the slightest amount of play after installing them. They should fit snuggly and have no wiggle. But these have a tiny amount of wiggle. But the work and the tab that holds them in the handle housing doesn't fall out like the aftermarket ones did. So because of the slight wiggle (play) in the lock and the body not being "gold" like described in the description and pictures. I give them 3 stars. Also, there's no way to message AC Delco and ask them about it. Only option is to return to Amazon... So that also has to do with my review of only 3 Stars. Ease of installation is difficult. But that's because OBS GM trucks are built the way they are. Not the fault of the Lock cylinders. Value for money I give a 3 out of 5 because of what I've already explained.
