Highly recommend
I bought 3 of these (one for each level of my townhouse) when I was forbidden from bending for 6 weeks after my back surgery. These work great. They are lightweight, but strong, and can even pick tiny objects off the floor (e.g., a single Cheerio). Highly recommend.

Handy Tool with Great Reach and Grip
The 32-inch length gives me plenty of reach, making it easy to grab items from high shelves or deep corners without having to stretch or bend over. One of the standout features is the strong grip and magnetic tip. The grip is firm and reliable, perfect for picking up everything from small items to larger objects. The magnetic tip is a nice touch, especially for picking up metal items like keys or small screws that might otherwise be tricky to handle. The tool is surprisingly lightweight, which makes it comfortable to use for extended periods. The foldable design is also a huge plus; it’s easy to store away when not in use, which is great for keeping my space clutter-free.My only minor issue is that the folding mechanism can be a bit stiff at first, but it loosens up with use. Also, while the magnetic tip is handy, it’s not strong enough for very heavy items.

Quality control lacking
I read the description of these grippers carefully, and it corresponded to my needs and expected criteria. The package of two arrived promptly. The two grippers were in a plastic bag with no instructions on use, though admittedly for such a simple tool its use would seem to be self-explanatory. I gave one gripper to my wife, and immediately she loved using it. Mine was problematic. First, the grips were at a 45 degree to the handle, not 90 degrees (or 180 degrees). The description had stated that the grips could be rotated 90 degrees. I could not straighten mine. I twisted with all my strength to no avail. Then, by chance we discovered if you pulled the gripper away from the handle it would disingage, making it possible to rotate it and find a groove to reset the angle. However, while my wife's gripper worked that way, I could not get mine to align 90 degrees. Once out of the groove it would not find the 90 degree groove. It is clear that upon manufacture, the groove was not aligned properly with the groove in the extended arm. There is no way to set the gripper at 90 degrees to the handle. All this comes down to quality control by the manufacturer: they did not align the grooves on the extended arm properly. So here I am with a 45 degree grip angle that is not altogether comfortable gripping things. If I have to grab jar off a top shelf I have to twist my wrist to clasp the jar. It is doable, but it is not the most comfortable angle. I was on the verge of sending the two grippers back, but as my wife's seems to work and she seems happy with it I decided to save myself the trouble.

Works great! + some add-ons for changing light bulbs
Good grab, sturdy and light weight! I was intrigue w/ the idea in the description to use it for changing light bulbs, much better than grabbing a chair/stepper around and going up & down. However, when I tried it, I found it needs some "add-ons". The grabber by itself can loosen a light bulb, but it's not very secure in holding a loose lightbulb when turning it. It's also awkward/challenging to turn for full revolution while pressing the handle for grab. I improvised with some simple add-ons as shown in the picture. (1) velcro strip to secure the grab, freeing up the hands for rotating it (2) transparent "cup" from chinese take-out box as safety net to catch the light bulb in case. I used velcro again so it can be removed. (3) to install a light bulb, it is not as easy to keep it straight in place, so I use a foam cup to help. [Update:] actually using foam tubing over the flat tips addresses (3) way better! Like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXVPY53/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .

Have the dropsies? Grab one of these.
At first I was a bit hesitant due to some reviews but I figured everyone’s circumstances are different. I’m glad I purchased it! Shipping was quick and it arrived in perfect condition. This grabber is a life saver! I’m having a revision surgery on my spine and I wanted something I could use to pick things I drop off of the floor without having to call my kids constantly. It’s lightweight and solid. I have picked up small paper clips all the was up to bottles of hair products. I even tested it with an unopened can of soda and was able to get a good grip on the can.The only thing I would say needs a bit of improvement is the squeeze handle. For someone that doesn’t have very good gripping power in their hands they may want someone to work it out a bit. I have noticed it has loosened up a bit and become easier to squeeze.
