This is the perfect clean up agent to utilize and you will need ...
Our family recently installed new Formica countertops and wanted to ensure that our 45 degree cut would not bubble up from water (even though the seam was extremely tight). If you are paring this with Seam-Fil patching compound this is a must for clean up; otherwise, you risk affecting your finished product by utilizing other solvents. This is the perfect clean up agent to utilize and you will need it as Seam-Fil becomes work hardened rather quickly. Be sure to allow enough time for you patching compound to become rather hard then apply this solvent to remove any "over fill". The harding effect will allow your "fill job" to stay while removing any unwanted "over fill" Great stuff!

Can came bent with lid rusted shut
How nice of them to send a can unable to be opened. I purposely did not open the can until I had already began spreading my Seamfil to prevent evaporation & the fumes from giving me a headache. I've used it in the past & followed the exact same method. I went to open the SF99 to remove excess Seamfil & the lid is literally rusted shut. It will not budge even with my 6ft4in 240lb boyfriend going at it. I had to quickly scrape off the excess Seamfil before hardening began, in the process taking another chunk out of the countertop. If you store metal cans in a humid warehouse without AC then you get rust!

For Laminate Repair
If you check with a countertop contractor, you’ll learn that this is the product that should be used for prep and cleanup when using Kampel’s SeamFil to repair damaged laminate. Unlike acetone, this Kampel solvent will not damage or dull a laminate surface. It’s definitely a solvent so should be handled as such, i.e. wear protective gloves and open a window and/or door for ventilation.

the cabinets should be good for another 10 years at least
Moved into a new place, and I used this to smooth out the splitting corners of my white cabinets. Now, the cabinets should be good for another 10 years at least.Note that this product will only have a flawless result in an absolutely ideal small crack situation. For most flaws, this product will only smooth out the flaw and make it much less visible. Essentially, you're applying a sort of paint and then smoothing it out with the paint thinner type solution. It was ideal for the back corners of my cabinets that people rarely stare at.

Great product
I bought this along with a white and two colors to fix a gouge in my countertop. There's a couple of YouTube videos by this company that I watched to make sure I did it right. Make sure you have the tools mentioned in the videos before starting. I also bought the retarder.Overall, it worked great. When I messed up my first attempt at the patch, I quickly used this to remove it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone needed to fix their countertop.

Easy to apply and works.
Definitely use this product when seam filling formica counter tops. Greatly helps seam sealer smoothly fill any gaps and does not effect the color of the applied seam sealer. As a DYIer, and not a pro, I appreciate the info from Woodworkers Hardware.

It'll disolve anything
When used with Seam-Fil to patch Formica or WilsonArt, a perfect solution. After applying Seam-Fil patch material and smoothing it into the crack/chip, I cleaned the repair area of the counter top surface with this solvent. It removed the excess patch material and left an invisible repair. This is a must for perfect (small) counter top repairs. Only one hitch - even though it is fairly low-priced, the minimum pint size of this solvent is way too much for a simple repair.
