I thought it was a real rcom. The one I had back in day never failed. This one only hatched two ducks. I have tried quail and chicken eggs and they never hatch regardless. I tested with hydrometer and it seems it doesn't add more moisture at the end of the hatch cycle. I feel like I wasted money just because I wanted a rcom. I think I'll look elsewhere.

This egg hatcher is a well-made, high-tech, beautiful little device that is perfect for a hobbyist. You fill a reservoir with water and set the temperature based on the type of bird and number of incubation days. The operating manual is illustrated and sort of hilarious. The viewer probably only works with larger eggs - we tried candling a robin's egg and it's too small, but it seems like it would work well with a chicken egg. In theory you can use a webcam to look at the image on a screen (for educational purposes I suppose). Makes a pleasant little dinging announcement when it's about to turn the egg. I love this thing. It was super expensive but it's also really, really cool. Very happy with our purchase.
