I used this for a WD SN850 on an Asus Tuf X570 Gaming + board (using the slot nearest the CPU) and had no issues. I have a Noctua cooler on the CPU.This heatsink came with everything I needed, keeps my drive at a good temperature, and was $10-$15 cheaper than the official Western Digital one.On my SN850 I took the serial # sticker off and put it on the bottom (underside -nearest the mobo) of the little heatsink caddy. That way if I ever need that serial number I can get to it without disturbing any of the thermal pads. This also keeps the chips next to the thermal pads instead of having a sticker in between.

This is pretty much what you expect. Came in really nice packaging, not that that matters. Installation was easy. Basically, it wraps the SSD card. It didn't really make a difference for the average temperature, but makes a big difference on the highs. Avg temp before/after ~50C. I generated the high temps by running a benchmark on my SSS. Before it would reach over 70 C, Now it doesn't change much < 55 C. I'm sure if I punished the SSD I could get the heat up but this little sink seems to really level out the temps.

Used with the WD SN850 1TB Expansion SSD, fitment is great, ease of installation and overall build quality make this a sensible choice....Used the Screwdriver it came with for all screws related to SSD Installation, it's got a Magnetic Tip, very nice touch!Took a bit longer than usual to get here, but 100% worth the wait...

Used this heatsink in my PS5 NVME slot and it's the perfect size. It's easy to install on my NVME M.2 and feels like a great quality item.

Easy to install but not recommended for low profile situations. Adds a good 34 mm or an inch and a half depending on if you use the included thermal pad or you use your own.
