I have multiple sclerosis and have required a cane for any marginally extended walking. The use of a cane requires a lot of leaning and stopping over which causes back pain from the poor posture and wrist and hand pain.Well, the Brazos Walking Stick immediately made a huge difference allowing a normal straight posture. The back pain, wrist pain, and hand pain vanished. The improved posture has significantly improved my gaite and walking speed and walking confidence.I have received so many compliments about how the stick looks; it really is beautifully made. I bought the 55" twisted hickory version and am 5'8" tall. It's perfect. I recently added a 550 Paracord wrap to the grip area in a spiral pattern and coyote brown color. This compliments the twist design, the color in the wood, as well as my service in Desert Shield & Desert Storm.Highly recommend this for all your walking needs whether you need the assistance of a medical device or not.

Beautiful, strong, effective useful tool. I stand straighter using a walking stick that I do with my cane. Plus there is more to hang onto and pull yourself up with from a sitting position. I own several Brazos sticks and canes. The hickory stick is the prettiest and strongest in my opinion, and my favorite. I'm 6' 285lbs and this twisted hickory stick supports my weight. Be prepared to get noticed while using this stick because it stands out with uniqueness and beauty, lots of complements and inquires on where I got it. Best of all, it's made in America!

Design is attractive and sturdy. The weight of the stick could be limiting for older individuals.

I wanted a walking stick over a cane, and this product fit the bill. Nice finish, very sturdy feeling, and just the right length for my height. I was hoping for a relatively straight piece, without any major crooks in it, and I received one with just enough of a deviation that it gives the thing character. If there were one thing I would change, it is to not have the hand area milled/sanded down quite so much. It's a little thin (small in diameter) for my hand, and when combined with the smooth finish, it makes for a less than stellar grip. To remedy that, I applied a thin leather wrap (ordered on Amazon) that is used on the handles of tennis rackets. Not only did it take care of any of my concerns, but it also looks fantastic. I highly recommend this upgrade if you have the same opinion I have of the handgrip area. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend this product to anyone looking for a sturdy, classy looking walking stick

My staff arrived today, and I couldn't be happier with it. It's very well made, stout, and visually appealing. It's not a lightweight staff, but it's made of hickory, so it shouldn't be. That said, it's not too heavy to use. Well done, Brazos. Kudos to you, folks.
