The image of the Shinobi SDI can be transmitted via the SDI loop out up to 100 m without any visible loss of quality. The amazingly bright 1000 nit, 5.2 inch display is installed in a slim, lightweight (226g) and very robust polycarbonate ABS housing and can be easily attached to any camera setup. Includes numerous features such as Focus Peaking, 4: 1/ 2: 1/ 1: 1 zoom, Zebra, False Colours, Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB Parade, Vectorscope, new multi-view "Analysis" display and flexible 3D and 1D LUT profiles and presets (.cube files can be uploaded with an SD card). The anti-reflection display has a dynamic range of 10 aperture levels directly from the log/PQ/HLG material. The monitor can be calibrated with X-Rite i1DisplayPro allowing for accurate HDR and Rec709. The Shinobi SDI offers very long battery life of up to 12 hours.

Great monitor in bright conditions
The Atomos Shinobi has changed how I work for the better, giving me a much better view of composition, critical focus and when combined with the various wave form and histogram monitors, the confidence I have in my footage is much greater.I bought this monitor to supplement the useless onboard monitor on my Panasonic HC-X1, which is very reflective.I am a news cameraman and have used this monitor on my camera in public order situations, and thanks to a decent mount it feels no more vulnerable, and I can hoist the camera up high above my head holding onto the tripod legs whilst seeing a good clear elevated shot.I bought a Nitze aluminium monitor cage to ensure a more robust attachment to the camera because although the build quality of the Atomos Shinobi is very good, the rough and tumble of news work demands more substantial protection.I will add that several of my colleagues covet my monitor!
